Can't Cut from Wall!

Hey -- I've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm back to designing with eCabinets (after forgetting lots of my chops, though -- dang!). Anyway, I just updated the program to version 6, build 5 and have a couple of issues right out of the gate -- one minor and one game stopper. The minor one is ...

Re: Table top inlay banding

Played around and got it, at least the offsetting lines part (I was forgetting the cursor drop-down menu for "select entities"...sheesh!) I haven't yet been successful at "trimming edges" but I suspect if I mess around enough it will come back to me. I guess I've spent too much t...

Re: Table top inlay banding

What I did was create the top, then in CE made a copy of it, took that to Contour, created edges, offset the lines in, then offset them again the width of the inlay, trimmed the lines, back out to PE, cut away the inside and outside, took that back to CE, aligned it to the corner of the top, set mo...

Table top inlay banding

I'm trying to do a quick rendering of a shaker style hallway table for a client. I have been fairly successful in showing the medallion I want to inset in the top but I'm having a devil of a time with inlaid banding: I would like to show thin (1/4") contrasting inlay following the contour of th...

I do remember Spock doing just that in an episode that I watched in late 1969...

...but you must remember that was back in the era of investigating alternate versions of what was then quaintly called \"reality\"...

Michael
You of all people should know that with the new segment factoring a profile like that can only be done by readjusting the phasers in the Contour Mode:

\"Minor\" update?

Larry sez: This update is merely a time extension for eCabinet Systems. Build 4 will be expiring on November 1, 2007 Well, I just arrived home from 3 weeks in Italy (it was rough, let me tell you -- soft nights on the Mediterranean coast, long days spent driving around and exploring Tuscany, drinkin...

For me, EVERY file that is read or transferred from a CD becomes \"read only\" regardless of what it was when burned (Win2K).
Is that not the case in other windows versions? I just got used years ago to globally change the properties of any files transferred by CD...

Anthony Usually that DOES actually mean that in some dialog box on the page you're looking at there is a syntax error typed inadvertantly. Sometimes they're easy to gloss over and not see, but I've always found them after a couple of seconds of looking. If you are getting the error message with no r...

You might also keep in mind that you cannot have sub-directories in the materials folder either. I found that out years ago when I put the \"Brewster\" images in a subfolder (I was TIRED of scrolling through them every time -- I almost never used them...) After MAJOR crash, much back and f...
