Machining 2 3/4'' thick solid oak

Hello all. We have to rout full depth 1 5/8'' grooves in a solid oak 2 3/4'' thick piece. We have a lot to do. Problem I have right now is that I get a lot of vibration due to the tool lenght I think….I'm using a 3/4'' diameter Onsrud 60-277. I have 18 grooves of 17 1/2'' long to machine on each pie...

Re: Machining single side material

And to also clarify for the operator, at the machine when loading, it would say something like "load sheet good side up" or
flip OP 1st side, load good side down (or up)?

Yes, that's exactly what we would need ! If not I don't see any use for single option in my mind !

Re: Tooling of part editor cuts

I have the same issue ! I will adjust my max depth too so machine has to use my outline tool to do thru outline cuts. It would be nice to have an option in control nesting to tell to Always use outline tool to do all tru cuts and pockets !

Re: Machining single side material

Plam is Plastic laminated. We do a lot of this. For example, Formica 7197 on one side and white backing on the other side (for the Inside of cabinet). We do everything we can to avoid flip parts !! I think the main goal for "single side" option should be to indicate to the cnc operator wic...
