Re: Machining 12' sheets on 8' router

Thanks Guys,

It looks like my client needs 28" x 156" panels with 1/2" through holes on a 1" grid so I will have to make a joint anyway.

Re: Machining 12' sheets on 8' router

Forrest,

I am only using eCabinet Systems software and do not have a moving gantry. There are tools at the end that will make things interesting. I am going to cut these parts for another shop and will know more about what is needed later today. That should help in finding a work-around solution.

Machining 12' sheets on 8' router

Does anyone have ideas/tips for cutting 12' laminate sheets on a 5' x 8' router? I know it can be done and has been done on my router, by the previous owner. I no longer have contact with them. I'm sure it's a matter of lying to the machine(as we need to do from time to time), and indexing the mater...

Pricing

Is anyone successfully using eCabinet Systems for estimating? I think this is the hardest part of our business and I'm really trying to get it dialed. Any advice?

Re: problem cutting flute

Thanks for the input. I'll play around with it some more. This was all done in the part editor so I don't think it would use any MDF door tooling. I usually lie and just use a cabinet back with 1/4" partitions, replacing my 1/4" cutter with a 1/2" ballnose bit and cut the dadoes into ...

Re: problem cutting flute

It acts like a CN issue. I've even tried a display panel. No matter how many flutes I have, only the last one is recognized and cut.

problem cutting flute

CN is only recognizing region 1 on the right style and only region 2 on the left style. Any suggestions?

Re: White Kitchen Hybrid Inset

That does look great! I'm just starting one like it. What do you mean by "Hybrid". I have gone back and forth figuring out how I will build these. They want the old farm style door latches but with euro hinges. I don't think soft close will work with the latches. They also want an angled b...

Re: End of Fly cut Code

Chris, You may get better response posting this on the Thermwood Machinery Forum. I have the exact same issue. I figured it would be an easy fix but was told that a whole new program file is needed. I thought it could be fixed by just removing a couple lines of code because I am just making one more...

Re: Reception Desk

Thanks Guys. I thought it was strange that they didn't make it themselves as they have several Thermwood routers at this location. C and D has expanded to double its capacity in the past 8-9 months! I think they usually cut large aluminum molds for plastic injection. This was a very cool project but...

Reception Desk

Just finished this Bamboo reception desk! All parts were cut on the Thermwood. Curves were made from stacked archs, not bent. Lots of time! Finally done!
