Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

Hi Jeremy I like your slice of heaven, Every factory should have a pleasant outlook. :) Thanks Mark, it's peaceful. I wouldn't trade it for anything - except something more peaceful  Looking forward to some install photos like Jeremys Bobcat. He is only showing that ,now its out of warranty. ...

Re: Edge tape adde with shelves

You need to go to the edgebanding editor, not the shelf editor. Click on the Add Part Components, and I think that is what you're looking for:

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

Compressed air is used when changing tools. Not exactly sure how the mechanism works, but since it is blowing thru the spindle during a tool change, you want clean dry air. (Do as I say, not as I do  ) That is all the air is used for, unless you have the automatic/switch operated vacuum val...

Re: THM not starting

Hi Tommy. We've had this issue intermittently with our CS45 as well, and have arrived at the same "solution". By chance, is your machine hooked up to a network? I have the inkling that if the computer doesn't connect to the network first, that the software won't start. By waiting before yo...

Re: Roughing button missing in CN 6.14

We're very happy with our little 41, it is always our go-to workhorse. It is starting to show its age of course. Probably will need a new spindle in a year or so, and its Windows XP "brain" is a little frazzled - the THM desktop software has given this machine a new lease on life, because ...

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

Aaaaand for fun, here is our CS-45 5x12 machine on our dock just after we got it pulled out of the semi trailer. As you can see, our shop has a low ceiling. We have to remove the controller from the table to get it thru the door. See the Bobcat inside the shop, that was used to pull it off the trail...

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

I'll chime in, Donald. We have two Thermwoods. A 2008 model CS-41, and a 2015 model CS-45. 1. How reliable are they for high production throughput? Once the initial kinks are worked out (as with any complex machinery) they are extremely reliable. This is industrial "big iron" equipment. 2....

Re: Roughing button missing in CN 6.14

Haha, nice sales pitch Clint! I wonder which would be the better route (pun intended)...upgrade the CS41 to QCore or sell our little baby and get another CS45 5x8?

Re: Roughing button missing in CN 6.14

I found why it was missing. I have my Version Override set to 7.0.9 (using THM desktop) because this one writes code for our CS41, which is a 2008 WinXP machine with THM V7. If I change the version override to a newer version, the Roughing button shows up. So, the roughing feature is not available f...

Re: Roughing button missing in CN 6.14

Thanks Tommy, that lets me know that the issue is with my computer. I had a couple programs open when I installed CN, that's probably what did it.

Roughing button missing in CN 6.14

I haven't tried removing and reinstalling, but I don't seem to have the roughing button.
BTW, this is a VERY welcome feature!

Re: Invalid file

Has the file extension been changed? Make sure it is an .esj file and not .esa.
.esa files have to be opened from the cabinet/assembly editor.

Re: glass Doors how to

Use a cabinet part (the back is convenient), make your part editor cuts in it - two rectangles, one inside the other - cut the inner rectangle thru, and the outer rectangle 1/4" deep or so. Then take it to the constraint manager and constrain it to the dimensions you need. Save it, and use it a...

Re: Colored symbols on labels

Thanks a ton Clint for working on these labels, it's making a lot of people happy. At this point, I only see one possible issue: is there enough space left on your new 30252 for barcodes? Either for Offfalls or Recut ID.
