Reverse sheet order issue

In CN 6.08 (THM desktop) When the "Reverse Sheet Order (global)" option is enabled, and offfall is added, the sheet printouts turn into a mess. Load a job, add a piece of material via Add Sheets, check Reverse Sheet Order, and nest. You have to print to a window or a printer for the issue ...

Re: Thermwoods run on Windows why not Linux

If I am not mistaken - The discontinuation of Windows Support on a particular Windows OS version does not mean that that operating system version no longer functions. The discontinuation of support just means that security patches are no longer developed and distributed. Microsoft no longer allows ...

Re: Manual tool change

Okay, let's shift gears then. I need to be able to load a tool that doesn't fit into the standard vertical tool holders. Our little CS41 has 3 handy side-loading holders for this purpose, but the big CS45 does not. Seems like an oversight. I could exchange one of the side loaders on the CS41 for one...

Manual tool change

I need to be able to do a manual tool change (on our CS45), so I went through the manual and got the additional "changer" set up, no problem - so I thought. Now I'm to this point: Capture.JPG As far as I know, there is no such key or switch on the machine. How to continue? Is there a way I...

Re: Offfall setting in CN

The reason I flip back and forth is to save expensive labels. I print the sheets including the offfall, and then turn the offfall off to print the labels, because we don't label our offfall, since we have it cut into rectangles. (Speaking of, that feature has a couple issues as well, but that will b...

Re: Offfall setting in CN

I'm linking a video that makes it more clear (I hope)... but in a nutshell, I can set offfall to "None" and nest it, then turn Offfall on (Cut Full Perimeter) just fine. But I cannot then turn it back to "None" without needing to re-nest it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMrgTw...

Offfall setting in CN

I've been having issues for the past few months with CN (6.07 on THM desktop) locking up when I have a job nested and change the offfall setting (to either None or Cut Full Perimeter.) Just installed CN 6.08, and it no longer locks up when I change the offfall setting. However, it's not acting right...

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

First thing I'd do there is measure the popup pin locations accurately and make sure they are correct in the THM software.

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

I should also mention, notice those file names: The one with 3-4 in it is for 3/4" material, the 1-2 is for 1/2" material. (can't use slashes in filenames.) So don't use the wrong one on the wrong material, or your pilot hole will be off center.

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

"These things were always so much easier until Windows started "helping" (getting in the way of) perform tasks." --- you can say that again! Not sure what version of Windoze you're using, therefore I'm not sure how much nannying you need to overcome. But this way should work: Re-...

Re: Edgebanding Appearing without being Applied

Hi Nat, there is a setting for that. When you have your cabinet open in the Cabinet Editor, click the EB button, and then the "Add Part Components" tab. If your Up/Down Stretcher has an edgebanding set there, then every stretcher you add will have the banding on it.

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

The pilot holes are actually custom KD/RTA hole patterns, because when you choose Lock Dado as a joinery method, it wants to use KD/RTA fasteners and their associated hole patterns. So, you just make a "pattern" that is a single hole, get rid of the hardware, and voila. I've uploaded our p...

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

If this is what you're after, all you do is use a lock dado, and set the tenon thickness to 100%. Works great, we use it all the time.

Re: Write CNC stalls

Same here... our CS41 had some problems, replaced hard drive with solid state, still slow as molasses. Not unusual to take 1-2 hours to nest a job, which meant that if something needed to be changed, or offfall added, it was a MAJOR pain. We debated about upgrading the controller, but that's a major...
