Re: switching to 32mm
Thanks Fred,
How did you set the parameter for adding drawers in Ecabs so the drawers will come out the correct height and the hardware alligns with the boring pattern?
Do you use 4 legs or 2 per cabinet?
Thank for your help,
Mike

Re: switching to 32mm
Thanks everyone , I am manually cutting out and boreing these cabinets to speed production and offer a lower line of cabinets. I will still take advantage of production shareing for more custom work. Gene, the reason for ballanced side panels is so that I can use one set up on the boring machines fo...

Re: switching to 32mm
Hello every one, Thanks for all your help and comments. I value your opinions. It is true that if a medium volume shop is to rely on nested based production using a CNC machine the 32 mm system becomes irrelevant. However I have solid reasons for switching. This is not a whim decision, nor have I be...

switching to 32mm
Hello everyone, I have been using Ecabs and production shareing for 2 years now. I have been building using face frames and traditional full dado construction. I have decided to add another line of cabinets based on the 32mm frameless system. These cabinets will have dowel/confirmat joinery and will...

You can actually, I do it all the time for items that cant resonably be made in ecabs, however you will loose all the texture and color data. First you have to be able to convert the file to .stl ot .hsf. I have only seen that light wave uses .hsf, but 20 20 might as well. STL files are fairly stand...

Thank yall for understanding. What was said about recient attacks on the forum makes sense. I know I came off strong, but my frustration doesn't reflect my feelings towards the program. I am a true convert to the Ecabs way. Because I am a one man show I can spend weeks in the shop or on the site with...

I cant believe how brutal yall are. Dan you especially surprise me, after a year or more of following your work I respect your abilities. I use the techniques you shared with me in my renderings to this day. Or maybe it was Kerry, I forget. I was not referring to windows update.. I am referring to E...

there are a lot of ways to progress bill. So it depends on how you do it. I line item the various phases of the job. When you enter their payment select their invoice and the amount will be applied. It will not show as a line item but it will show in the total. You can then print a customer statemen...

I've never seen a warning (but I have the auto update feature enabled so i guess I wouldnt ever have the software go so long without updating. I looked through my emails and did not see anything from Ecabs other than the usual sale flyers. I use several other pieces of software as well and depending...

I understand what you are saying, but this was a job that I finished designing weeks ago. All the renderings were done and everything. I am a small shop and I take a lot of remodelings as well. This means that weeks and even months can pass between cabinet jobs. Ive been using ecabs since v5 was rel...

Ecabs would not start in front of a customer
Hello everyone, Ive not been on the forum in a while, it is a shame that I have to check in with this problem. I sat down with a client today to go over a very importaint job that has been months in the making. When I started up Ecabs I got an error stating that my copy or version of Ecabs had expir...

If I am cutting the job in house (no CNC) I use generic thicknesses (3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 5/8). I do so because when I print the job the part drawings dont show the deminsions in a readily usable way. All the measurements are made from one side and dont always reference the right edge. So I use the Job Pr...
