Re: spoil sheet support for a MTR Thermwood

Hi Brad,Sorry for the delay in replying. I must have missed a email message that you had replied. Yes its from 2008 a great year if your trying to sell a house below cost. I was led to believe this was special MDF and had to come from the USA. Upon recently checking the density, it was available in ...

Re: spoil sheet support for a MTR Thermwood

Thanks Jeremy. Good tip. I do have a hold down issue with the waste board we fly cut lifting a bit in the 0,0 area. Your solution may well solve that. I believe the cutcentre machine has 4 sacrifical wooden dowells in each corner that hold the waste board in position. That would help with hold down ...

spoil sheet support for a MTR Thermwood

Not sure what you call the sheet of mdf you have under your spoil sheet. Mine is really old, like 12 years old. Buying some new sheets in as my bed is 2200mm by 3600. When we did the sheets first time we told to seal the edges with oil based paint and make sure the rubber seal is not disturbed. Is t...

Re: End of Support for Win7

When I had to update the motherboard on my MTR the win xp would not install as the motherboard was too much of upgrade for microsoft. I had a brand new version of XP from a friend who works at a high school but that wouldn't work as it referred back to microsoft support who were very polite but said...

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

One small concideration is running costs. We have two 360 M3 Becker pumps. Originally was sold one pump 500 M3 but due to problems in Australia I had a free upgrade. These pumps really gulp down power (like a Cadilac towing a tri axle caravan). I think some guys are running inverters. Clint might ex...

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

I bought my MTR21 in 2008 and it has been the longest cnc I have had. In 1993 I had a Morbadelli manual tool change, Then A mastwerwood 3 tool change, A Tekcel ( local Australian machine) 10 tool change and then the Thermwood. Did have some teething problems as it was made on a Friday. To Thermwood'...

Re: Colored symbols on labels

Hi Mark, We have been using the 10 stickers to a page for a few years now. The advantage is quicker printing, better print quality when you have old eyes and colour over our old thermal printer. I have a Aussie label supplier if interested. You can print to any A4 printer just to try it out. Regards...

Re: Colored symbols on labels

Thats a good point Kerry. The animals may need to be country specific. If you are near the Mexican border you may need animals the staff will recognise like Coyotes, Donkeys and Eagles. If you are from Canada I can imagine Moose,Bears and other cuddley animals. All I can think of here are dangerous ...

Re: Colored symbols on labels

This might sound like I am being funny but how about animals? There is more than 1296 different animals, reptiles and Marine. If you had them as a water mark they would be easy to spot. Would have to be dark colours I guess to be seen. But I think the brain may see a image quicker than a AA, IT, PO,...

script error

I wonder if anyone knows how to stop this script error. Do we have one of our settings wrong?
It pops up fairly often.

How to access the columns in batch cabinets for the Unit cost & Job cost

How do I access the columns in batch cabinets for the Unit cost and Job cost I've tried to search on how to access the columns in batch cabinets for the Unit cost and Job cost. But nothing is found or talk about it in the help section, youtube nor vimeo. But you are able to get the cost summary, whe...

Re: Shop Drawings

Nice to see you on line again Kerry. I am also for you on getting the drawings onto pages rather than one elevation one drawing print. That is, multiple elevations on one page. I know you can drop them into word or similar program but then nothing is to scale. If you could highlight the screen view a...

Thermwoods run on Windows why not Linux

I was wondering why Thermwood has stuck with Windows when they keep dropping support of Windows versions when they get old. I believe they are changing what they consider old as support for Win 7 is close to being dropped. If you had open sourced Linux would that make the Thermwood range future proof...
