Re: Assembly group parts

Hey Larry,

Finally got around to nesting those door/drawer fronts. The grouping of the parts worked great! Thanks for the fix.

Regards,
Tim

Re: Assembly group parts

Thought I'd follow up on this "Assembly Group Parts' problem. Attached is an assembly of upper cabinets whose doors will be getting cut out of the .76 Wenge material. The doors are highlighted in the 'Assembly Group Parts' panel to show that they have all been selected. for grouping in the nest...

Re: Assembly group parts

Gun shy with the Beta in 1.21.2 but I went ahead and tried it anyhow. Still not working correctly. Would you be able to try and confirm?
Missing door on a grouping. Will not nest. Better than previous Link version but still not nesting all the parts.....

Assembly group parts

Hello all, I've got several sheets of quarter sawn Wenge sheet stock that will be getting cut up for doors and drawer parts. The grain will be running horizontal on all the slab doors and drawers. As I want the grain to run as unbroken as possible thru the cabinets I've created assemblies and used t...

Re: Link nesting issue

Thanks Dave and Scott,

Are you cutting S curves and, if so, are you using a polyline such as a Bezier curve and then converting to arc/poly line tso it can be used in Ecabs?

Re: Link nesting issue

After talking with TW today it seems that I've been lucking with the curves and I really need to be using arcs for something like an S curve. It was suggested that I look and see if there is a feature that will convert a curve to arcs in my CAD program. Checked with my Cad program publisher and inde...

Re: Link nesting issue

So far it seems like bezier curves are getting messed up somehow, again. Still digging but the clunky arcs might be the only way out now. Have to put away the french curves and use circle templates. Yuck. Somethings shifted in Ecabs again with regard to imported DXF geometry. Finding more odd behavi...

Re: Link nesting issue

In attached link is the job cut out last year. With the exception of the signage and Plexi glass, all cutting was done thru Ecabs. Seed racks, Rack stands etc.... Now trying to cut additional cabinets and rerun current cabinets for a 10x20' space and were hitting landmines with respect to this dxf g...

Re: Link nesting issue

I've contacted Clint and will share what I'm finding as well. Parts were run happily last year with no DXF geometry issues. DXF template drawings are clean with none of the odd pockets Clint has found. Loaded up early job file from last year and it nested in link with no pocketing issues. Recreated ...

Re: Link nesting issue

Hi Tim, Thanks for the suggestion. The weird thing is that the simple left/right stretchers will nest fine. It's only the front stretcher with the curves that is causing the problem Seems like the part editor cut is throwing the link yet my 1/4 MC bit should cut that outline just fine. Scratching my...

Link nesting issue

Hi all, Here's a little repeat business from a customer whose job had been run successfully a little over a year ago. They've come back for some more cabs and wgen I went to load up the ones needed into batch and nested in Ecabs Link I'm getting a pocketing error. I don't know if its the curvey shap...

Re: Single row shelf pin holes

Thanks Jeremy, Seems I'm not able to open the file. I've copied the downloaded file to my Ecab shared documents cabinet folder and tried loading it in to cab editor but it kicks up errors. Tried opening it with Ecabs directly from download but I get invalid file type error. Not sure why it's bucking...

Single row shelf pin holes

Has anyone been able to use the shelf hole settings editor to create a single row of shelf pin hole in for the back edge of long shelves? I have read the help section and tried various combinations to accomplish this but the software sems to be smarter than I am. Any help would be appreciated. My ol...
