Sub out eCabs Jobs
Hello, Are any of you subbing out eCabs programming? My engineer getting ready to retire and I'm not going to replace him. I still have about 20 hours of eCabs work per week. I don't need anyone local (Phoenix). Do you just send out the drawings and they come back eCabs files or how does that work? ...

Re: Line Drawing Editor
Audrey,
I have this same issue. Try to change your printers resolution. I have found higher res and those construction holes go away. At this point, I just print to a 1200dpi PDF and then out to my printer. Some cad programs will even bring that PDF in.
Thanks,
Fred

Re: eCabinet Productivity
Like others, been following this thread. Great information. We do commercial. Used to do shops in AutoCAD and then convert to eCabs. No more.... We are now doing everything in eCabs and sending the LDE to the architect. The drawings are not as pretty as the autocad output, but I'm not duplicating wo...

Lock Dado AWI Standard
Wondering how the blind dado with pocket screw joint falls on the AWI standards. Anyone have input on this joint with regards to AWI standards? I have been using lock dado for some time and enjoy the assembly on the shop floor for speed and accuracy.
Thanks,
Fred

Re: LDE Crashing Program
Had/Have the same problem. Open fresh instance of eCabs. Go into LDE and change your font. For me it was changing from Arial to Times Roman. Now open your job and see if that helps. You may have to select all the text in your drawing and then change the type face. Hope this helps. Seems once this pr...

Re: A cardboard box
Michael,
Interesting drag knife. Can you snap that blade in 1/2 to fit in the tool holder or is it still too big? Maybe and Xacto blade? I just went out to their website and they have a "creasing" attachment. Have you tried that?
Thx

Re: SMALLER THAN 90 DEGREE BACK
Brenda, We do these pretty frequently. You are going to use a corner cabinet, but think backwards. The front becomes the back. Remove the back and put a full overlay door on for the back. It takes some getting used to, but an 83degree cabinet would be 97 in the backwards corner world. It isn't going...

Re: profile modeler crashing
Kerry, Sorry for the delay. No these are not MDF doors, but side panels using the Geric 3/4 Material. The interesting thing... if I setup PM to model it everything is great. It has something to do with how I have that custom tool setup in eCabs or PM on the machine. I'll keep trying and let everyone...

Re: profile modeler crashing
Kerry,
That worked in profile modeler. I was able to write the file out of PM. Thank you. Should I be able to do this in the nest? I just tried, and it crashes CN when I go to write the NC file.
Thanks,
Fred

Re: profile modeler crashing
Kerry,
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought of that and did start fresh with a new cab and am still getting error. Here is generic cab with my V test on door. This cab gives error on the machine. I'm thinking I have setup profile modeler wrong on controller.
Thanks,
Fred

Trying to model paneling with a 90 degree v-bit 1/4" deep, down length of a panel. Have a tool group vBit with a single custom tool 90 vBit. Created a generic test cab and put centerline panel lines on the door. vBit is the default group with my 90 vbit as the custom tool. Only one tool in the ...

Vacuum Pump Hose
Looking for a source for vacuum hose for Becker pump. Fixed Gantry and the table moves so has to be relatively flexible. Anyone have luck with the HiTech Duravent hose? And if so, what is part number?
