I say go for it. I'm a one man, sometimes two man shop and have done quite a bit of work for architects. Some do want detailed shop drawings, some not so demanding. I use the ecab drawings from the line drawing editor to show them and they are usually more than adequate. Just make sure you tirn down...

Again, I was reminded that when laying out a kitchen to remember to hit save every so often. I had just gotten done putting in and editing the cabinets when everything decided to freeze up and stop. Control+alt+delete, and I got her kick started again, but had to go in and re-edit everything again. ...

Thanks for the replies. I was just curious what other ideas were out there. So far we still have a backlog of work, but it never hurts to try to stay on top of things.

I had the same problem. I took the forums advice and downloaded a free pdf writer and now it works out just fine.

Try associating those objects to a wall in the detail room screen otherwise if you just take an elavation to the LDE, it doesn't show up. Lee

But what about when it doesn't set them to the wall?I have the set to back selected, and usually it will set the back to the wall, but sometimes it will be away from the wall. Am I doing something wrong, or is it a little finicky placing assemblies in the room layout? I have align to back set, but I still end up having to tweak it a bit. Sometimes a little, sometimes alot. When I take a cabinet into line drawing editor, it looks fine, but when I print it out, it shows the shelves behind the doors and raised panel doors, even though they are flat panel doors everywhere else.Is there a setting I need to adjust?
