Yes John that is very close to what I am trying to achieve. How do you associate to 2 walls. Can you associate the side of a cabinet to the wall. I did not know you could do that. That may be what was keeping me from making this work

Re: Graphics Cards
Dan, Please post your system specs. What I would like to see is benchmarks that we can do here on the forum. Possibly using one fairly complex file and timing the load time and render time. This will give everyone an idea on how well their systems are performing compared to some of the powerhouse wo...

Re: Planning new PC system - requirements?
Unfortunately my computers were stolen last month. I did purchase a new laptop and so far it runs Ecab fine. Kerry it opens your stage program and could manipulate it with maybe a 1 second delay. Much better than my last computer. I plan to build a new desktop. I will buy one of the better quadro ca...

Re: Crash and Burn
Gary, I got a Gateway P-7811 last week. I had problems with Vista 64 but it came with a disk to downgrade to 32 bit vista. So far it is GREAT!. I would highly recommend this laptop. If you are looking for a desktop look for something with a NVIDIA 9800GTS card. It is equivilent to the Quadro cards i...

Brandan,
Follow Gary's wizard and you should have no problem. Just remember to save as a new filter.

Re: Frustrated
Damon, I have found the layout in cutlist plus to be more efficient than ecab. It gives you a lot more freedom to move parts around and get the cuts exactly the way you want them. You can also adjust grain orientation on the fly. For instance if you have stretchers that the grain orientation does no...

Re: Planning new PC system - requirements?
I agree with Nick. Im using a Gaming Laptop and it runs Faster than any Desktop I have ever used. My laptop is equipped with a Nvidia 9800M GTS card with 512MB and is faster than any desktop I have seen Ecab run on. One thing is to be careful with the ATI card you picked. I do not think it is one of...

Re: Frustrated
Brandan, I have been able to import to Cutlist plus. You need to export ecab to excel and you will get a file with several sheets. Cutlist Plus will only allow you to import one sheet at a time. I usually import my sheet good listing first then import my hardwood listings then any other sheets I may...

Re: eCabinet Systems, the economy, reality and change
Ken and all, I have been back and forth with Ecab for a year now and I have finally committed to using the software exclusively. I was using KCDw and Sketchup and although there are things that I like about both of these programs that I would really like to see incorporated in Ecab I believe that th...
