Re: Edit pocket depth

Kerry, I owe you one! Been on CM page 1000s of times and never knew that existed. Just always been X-Y constraints. This will prove very helpful in future. I was today old when I learned this.

Edit pocket depth

In Part Editor, we created a pocket in the back and cut it .4" deep. Now that the component is here we discovered we only need the pocket .260" deep. Geometry is correct. We cannot find a way to just change the depth of the cut without recreating the whole geometry and specifying new depth...

Re: Do you cut beveled edges?

Gene, we use a tapered cutter all the time to make bevel cuts. We use a 30 degree,45 degree, 60 degree and 90 degree cutters routinely. We have to slow them on spindle speed and feed speed and depth of cut but we think this is much faster and better than on a table saw. Cuts are true and not hand fe...

Re: Rotate Top

Chris, first picture is actually hard to see but the stretcher is in fact sloped. In our case, we rotate 148 degrees and adjust insets and it worked like a champ! Maybe this is a better picture. You are correct that this is becoming a normal situation for us as well, especially in anything medical r...

Re: Rotate Top

Just closing the loop. Made with stretcher. Calculated length using geometry of triangle, added for mitering the edges to vertical. Doors size correctly, etc.

Rotate Top

We need to build angled top cabinets. See pic.
Can I do this in eCabs with the top or do I need to use stretcher to make the top angle front to back? Follow side does not work under Angle Part

Re: Handling Sheets

Clint, kind of like that. So I am almost scared to ask but what is the cost of that from T-Wood? And you are flipping 4x8 plywood and we need 5x10 melamine that is full of holes already - will it stay intact doing that? One thing about the vacuum lift is we can pick off the stack by the machine and ...

Handling Sheets

Do any of you have good ways to handle sheets of material on and off the machine other than just brute force manhandle it? We are looking at air hoist on circular post with suction cups but that won't help on flip operations. So we are wondering about a clamp for edge that can flip the sheet. I am c...

Re: Improve Dust Pickup CS43

Clint, we've been using this method for couple years as well as the time we save not cleaning table more than compensates for the extra pass. But we cut both times in Conventional so my question is why do you do 1st pass in Climb? Is it faster or better for chip removal? Just curious. FWIW, we have ...

Re: An Active Forum is a Strong Forum

Mark and others, Sorry being late to this party but because eCabinets runs pretty well for us, I don't go to Forum that often. We determined long ago that eCabinets was production software in our shop and not presentation software so we use it to create machining and not worry about making it pretty...

Re: Angle part

Obviously a speaker cabinet. We have been making these for awhile but they want us to make the front with a 2 degree angle and the back parallel to it. Have added a stretcher with taper but cannot get the speaker or back to leave vertical.
Thanks for the help.

Angle part

Since most of you are smarter than I, I bet somebody knows how to do this, or at least fake the computer into doing it. We have an assembly that resembles a wall cabinet with an inset back. We want to make the back 13 degrees angled from vertical, making it closer to the front at the bottom than at ...

Nicolas, Thanks!! But curiously, how did you ever discover this? What made you look for 2 left ends? Never seen this before.
