Re: outline breaks mortise shoulder for blind tenon

I have shortened the tenon so it closes the mortise on the ends . We will see how this works out. Making the tenon thinner is something I had not considered.

Thanks,
Gerry

Re: outline breaks mortise shoulder for blind tenon

Forest,
On the gables they stop short and we have no problems with those of course. I could shorten the tenon but then you see daylight through the corners.
We have just changed melamine suppliers so maybe that is what is causing the increased problems.

Thanks,
Gerry

outline breaks mortise shoulder for blind tenon

Hi everyone, This has been a infrequent problem for us for some time but lately it seems it is happening on almost all top and deck pieces. When we do the outline cut on our tops or decks the shoulder on the mortise breaks off. We have a CS45 and are cutting our outline in conventional direction wit...

Re: Thermwoods run on Windows why not Linux

I do drive images at regular intervals. (I use Acronis true image) If I run into a problem I restore the drive image that is the most recent and if I have problems with that I keep going back in time until I get a stable install. You do need to restore the tool database and a few other files to insu...

Re: Cnc is loading jobs slow and slow in general

Hi, Some ram needs to be installed in banks. You should consult the mother board manual for that information. If you don't have the manual you can find the mother board model printed on the board then do a internet search for the manual. On my board if I am using 2 slots I need to use the first and ...

Re: fixed table stops

Just wanted to update this. I mounted the stops off the cut path of the router by routing a 4 X 8 sheet off the g901 position left the vacuum running then mounted the stops, measured to the cut sheet and then shimmed to make all the stops an equal distance. I then cut my square off these stops and a...

Re: fixed table stops

Hi Will, Yes those are the stops I am referring to. I have been considering mounting a piece of wood to the stops to raise them as I use 1/2" MDF for my waste board and they are a little short when the sheet is new. This would allow me to mill them to a given dimension off the g901 location and...

Re: fixed table stops

table stops.jpg Hi Will, It was that post that got me thinking about these stops. I have included a pic of the machine that shows the fixed stops. They were mounted with shims behind them against the table to align them to the cutting path of the router. I have been using a fixed fence like the one...

fixed table stops

Hello everyone, We have a 2007 CS45 that we bought used. When we got it it had fixed stops mounted to the table for flip ops. The technician removed these stops when he set up the machine and I would like to reinstall them. Could some one point me at some instructions to reinstall these stops? I am ...

Re: New HD issues

Hi Marcell,

You might want to check if the windows partition is marked as active. Sometime when restoring a drive clone the partition is not flagged properly.

Re: Applying a drilling pattern to gable

This has come up a number of times and I think it would be a boon for people who use dowels or confirmats but there seems to be no interest from Thermwood of implementing the option.

I have encountered the problem Micheal describes. The file would not even load until i removed it from the deep folder structure. That had me baffled for quite some time :wall:

Re: sticky job file

Hi Will,

Yes I think it was Brad who helped get that working for us. I did not have a problem with this Post P until I did these "tile" files I think I will look at how Aspire is outputting these as all 4 produced at once.

Thanks,
Gerry

Re: sticky job file

Hi Will, We went to the arcs Post P because the machine was stuttering when cutting small arcs, it did seem to resolve that problem. I think as I recall we input code to slow the feed so not to get the chatter, maybe give the one I posted a try to see how it works for you. It is set up to locate at ...
