Re: Counter tops don't appear in drawing editor floor plan.
Was finally able to get counter tops to appear in line drawing editor. Only thing I knowingly did that seemed to do it was associate the tops to 1 of the few walls I previously had not.

Counter tops don't appear in drawing editor floor plan.
I can't seem to get counter tops to appear in a floor plan in line drawing editor. Used to be I would just associate them to a wall. That doesn't work since I updated to build 9. Is there a new way to do that or am I missing something? Thanks.

Can't post job. Don't have broadband and the upload times out before it's done.

HOOPS error - can't open job file
OK, I could use some suggestions. Have a nearly completed job file that I'm scheduled to show the customer tomorrow. When I try to open the job file I get a HOOPS error message and get returned to the eCab home page. Things I have tried: computer restart, renamed job file, reinstalled v6.8 in repair...

Re: Cutting arch in counter top
Big thanks, Guys. Trimmed the ends (at least I think I did) and turned on object snap and it work great. Saved me lots of time and frustration. Thanks again.

Cutting arch in counter top
I'm trying to cut an arch in a counter top. I take it to part editor - contour mode, create a 3 point arch, fill in the straight lines using the same points, take it back to Part Editor, click Cut Geometry..., but when I select the entity to cut I get a message stating that the contour is not closed...

Re: Images/folders not there after update
The pulls, wood components, slides and lazy susans are listed in "Define Hardware" but display "No Image". KD hardware and moldings have images. I can view the jpeg image by opening it from the hard-drive but not from eCab. Would reinstalling them rectify this. Thanks again, David

Images/folders not there after update
Recently updated to v6b8. After the update, some folders (cabinets, assemblies) and images (pulls, wood components) were either not there or "image not available". Was able to import the custom cabinet file from backup files, but no luck with hardware images. I can find them on the hard-dr...

Re: Midrail/Midstile Editing = "Out of Memory" error
For what it's worth, I experienced the same 'hoops' and 'out of memory' warnings that Elaine described when I was working in Line Drawing Editor. It required me to close eCab and re-open to resume working. I'm currently running Build 3. Hope this is of some use.

Re: speed issues in build 2
Ryan, My experience is similar to Pat's. In jobs large or small, the more functions I perform the slower it gets. This is before adding any display objects. I can alleviate the problem by saving the job, closing eCabs, and re-opening the job, but that has its limits. This may or may not be pertinent...

Re: speed issues in build 2
Ryan, I am having the same issues as Pat. If you could post the solutions or work-arounds for these issues in this thread, it might also solve a lot of the problems I am having with speed, etc. I've just been invited to bid on a $25,000-30,000 kitchen for a new house that's already framed, so any ti...

Re: v6 is slower on my computer
Rick, Please don't dismiss my issues by suggesting I'm simply not familiar with the features. The very same functions I performed in v5.2 take 2-3 times longer in v6. Simply moving a cabinet in Cabinet Editor takes longer. I will do whatever I can to optimize performance on my end, but some issues a...

Re: v6 is slower on my computer
Also having issues. V5.2 worked fine, v6 has created problems. Issues: -Generally much slower. Placing a partition in Cabinet Editor took 17 sec. -Trouble opening Saved Projects created in v6. Have to open Task Manager, click on eCabinets Not Responding, then close Task Manager to get the project to...
