Michael,
Thanks for your help. Clearly the best thing would be to call Thermwood. However, I would still like to hear from more people who have bought a used machine, if anyone is willing to share their experience.

Buying & Updating a Used CNC?
Can anyone share their experience or advice regarding the purchase/updating of a used Thermwood CNC? Check out this machine: http://www.machineking.com/2000_thermwood_c-40_cnc_router_with_atc_and_e-cabinet_ready.html?category_id=0 . At half the price of new, this seems like a really good deal, but w...

Problems with Move Increment in Custom Layout
Has anyone experienced problems with the Move Increment command in Custom Layout? The upper cabinet (which is an assembly) that I placed is partly within the base cabinet beneath it so I want to raise it. I tried to do this with Move Increment, but it will only let me move the cabinet down, instead ...

Re: Frustrated with eCabinet Systems??
I appreciate the support from everyone, and I admit that in a moment of frustration I ran to the forum and typed a quick message that I thought would make me feel better :? I think I will be speaking with my boss a little more about the training classes now! The one problem I was having yesterday wa...

Re: Frustrated with eCabinet Systems??
Dan, No, I haven't. My boss and I have talked about going sometime but at this point I thought I could try to learn it on my own, and at least learn enough basics to generate our cutsheets, which would be a huge time-saver over doing everything by hand as we have done up to this point. After that, w...

Frustrated with eCabinet Systems??
Does anyone else ever get the feeling that eCabinet Systems is a very under-developed program that is full of glitches and shortcomings? I hate to down a "free" program that I am not highly experienced in, but sometimes the simplest operations are incredibly aggravating. Maybe I just quick...

Re: Adding Shelves
Justin,
Thanks for the info. No doubt I'll get some use out of the Feedback command. Didn't know it existed within eCab.

Adding Shelves
When adding shelves, is there any way to select the face frame opening rather than the "opening" as defined by the boundaries of the cabinet box? If I have an upper cabinet with a wide top rail and put three shelves in it, the top one is hugging the rail too much and must be manually adjus...

Re: Getting Started in eCabinet Systems
Thanks for your reply, Jeremy. So far I've spent most of my time in Cabinet/Assembly Editor and have begun to work with Custom Layout. The help files and new video tutorials have been a great aid. Anyone else have tips or references to similar posts?

Getting Started in eCabinet Systems
I'm sure this concern has been posted here before, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some general pointers for getting started in eCab. For example, what are some things that you learned the hard way, or things that I could learn to avoid a lot of re-doing. Especially, I would like some ti...
