Re: tool change problems, still

All, Thanks for the ideas. Short version – we believe we have isolated the problem to the primary air solenoid Long version – After many hours of adjusting sensors, cleaning tools, talking to Thermwood, and HSD technical service in between jobs I finally dedicated this entire day to finding the solu...

Re: tool change problems, still

Thanks Carl, As it turns out the green button solution may have just been a coincidence. It stopped numerous times yesterday and pressing the green button did nothing. There are times when it just stalls then eventually picks the tool and I suspect the “successful” green button solution was one of t...

tool change problems, still

All We have been running our router for about 5 years; up until about 4 years it was problem free then we started having tool change problems where the NC would stall in the middle of a tool change. It mysteriously went away as mysteriously as it showed up, and it is back with a vengeance. I have be...

Re: excel download label format

Neville, I sent him the "required" format as defined by thermwood for direct download into the controller. If you're not familiar with it you can access it by clicking on the question mark in the controller on the control nesting page. The problem is that the structure is somewhat limiting...

excel download label format

I've started cutting for a customer who comunicates in excel and I would like to provide additional options in what gets generated and printed on the parts...

Re: parts editor problem

Thanks Kerry, I'll give that a try. I'm still learning when it comes to parts editor capability and this will be a bit of an education.

Thanks again for all your help.

Re: parts editor problem

Joe, Thanks for the idea, I never thought of starting with a standard base then going to the parts editor, I'll give it a try. Kerry - I thought about just cutting dados in the parts editor but I'm not sure you can create the geometry necessary in that direction. It is at a 45 degree angle and the g...

Re: parts editor problem

George, Thanks for taking a look at my problem. In the picture I have tried to point out my specific issue. This case started as a standard corner cabinet and I have been modifying it in the parts editor to create a case for a space corner. The panels with the large cutouts are there to support the ...

Re: parts editor problem

OK Terry you are truely the wizard, but that was an easy fix, I did as you suggested and set the back dado position to match the cut in the top and deck in to parts editor and it worked. Now I have a real test of your powers. As you may have already noticed this is an attempt to make a space corner ...

Re: How many passes?

Jason, I'm looking forward to the multi pass feature. Until then is sounds reasonable to manipulate the Z axis. On a simple program it may be best to just edit the program in the couout section to add multiple passes. Joe, For your design where you will be cutting the same thing over and over you ca...
