Re: Exporting labels Error. Not for cnc use

Oh I see. Yea I do not mainly because there are usually a lot of parts with at least one side being the same size and I use a sliding panel saw with flip stops and if you have a whole bunch of parts it is so easy to do them all at the same time. Usually I will go through and do all my rips first for...

Exporting labels Error. Not for cnc use

I did a search and found other to have this problem in the past but could not find the answer. Please help. I export the my cut list to excel so that I can sort all my cuts into material and from largest to smallest. Works amazingly well. Very little waste. BUT, I was taking the parts and writing in...

Ok just now did update to build 3. All my hardware is there but when I lets say select the hinges and mounts I want to use and then select the door and set as default then say add door. I look at my cabinet buy list and it says the hinge and the mount but quantity of 0. So then I say thats lame and ...

Re: ecabs basics please!

Chris,
What the others said should get you started but keep up with the Videos. I was using eCabs for about a year before I bought the videos. They may be a little dry but you will learn everything. I have gone through every one. They are great!

Re: Minor glitch V6B2

I agree! It does seem to take longer to switch to the diff. editors because of the Item window popping up and then going back. The whole reason I have the Item window un pinned is so that I dont have to see it when I dont need it. And when it does pop up it takes your cabinet or layout and throws it...

Re: macbook pro and ecabinets

If you are looking at new Mac with mac os x 10.6 it has already part of the os whats called Boot Camp it gives you the ability to have both Mac OS x 10.6 (snow leopard) and Windows (you will need to buy a copy of windows). This is true dual boot no emulator, much much better. When you boot up to win...

Re: Cabinet leaves a trail.

Make sure you restart every now and then. Your CPU may be a little small so make sure you are not running anything else at the same time. Even try to find the things that may be running in the background and close them. The more you close the better your performance will be.

Re: Flip button?

Love it! That would be very useful and also majorly decrease the amount of cabinets you need to filter through in the item window. I have also noticed that even if you have the item window folded up, switching from any editor back to that main it takes a little while and the item window pops up and ...

Re: Not everything in buy list.

Oh and if its Alternate source doors and drawer boxes having that on there too. Mainly so that this list is a single source for everything you need to order. with things all in one place you could just go down the list and order everything you need or take it to your distributor. But one thing to th...

Not everything in buy list.

Just a thought. The term Buy list would make me think that it would be a list of everything that you would need to buy for that job or cabinet. I know it has never been in there before but what about sheet stock, board stock, banding ... and all that. And if your a large shop this would just be a li...

Re: Drawer Box Pains... Suggestion

I out source all my drawers too and don't use a CNC (yet) but I agree that it would be nice if we did not have the drawer box's on the cut list and in the material list. I like to print out everything and order from there and it does not work on the drawers because you cant get an easy Hight x width...

Re: Drawer Front Slide Mount

I think that this is used if you have a face frame cabinet and use the Slide bracket that mounts to the back of the cabinet (so that the slide only mounts to the face frame and sits in the rear bracket). So the hole pattern would be applied to the back panel. This is how I understand it, but have ne...

Re: Creating a display cube?

Ok your thinking to hard. I would imagine that your making a display cube 1"x1"x16" and then taking it to part editor and running a profile on it or using the fillet button with selecting two sides. well there is a much easier way. Fist do as you did and make a new 1x1x16 display cube...
