Display Panel Part Editor
Is there a way to use the Part Editor on Display Panels? The only parts that I can use the part editor on are components of a cabinet. I have some MDF sheets that need some shapes cut out of it. It's the perfect job for the Part Editor, but I cannot access it with panels. Anyone know how to work aro...

WANTED: Castle Bed Design
Hello.
Can anyone help me locate an eCabinets design of a Castle bed like this one shown? If anyone has anything close to this that I can work with, I'd appreciate anything you can provide.
If anyone knows of these designs for sale please pass that information on as well.
Thanks everyone.

Can This Project Be Done?
Hello and Happy Holidays, I have a few issues to talk about so work with me here. Please see the pdf attachment for a picture of the project. I need to design something similar to this bed. The entire project needs to be designed with eCabinets and cut on a CNC machine (maybe yours--more on that lat...

Grain Direction for FF
Hi. I have a box (attached) that has the entire front of it closed up by using a Face Frame. I changed the material to plywood. My question is, is there a way to change the direction of the grain? I can't seem to see a way to do that for the Face Frames. It's not a huge issue because I can just tell...

Re: Windows 7 and eCabinets
Dan that's a great question. He told me, what his "just said" was right off their site and I still can't find it anywhere. I'm not sure where he was referring to and "the" site is enormous! He usually talks in tongues and it's hard to follow him at times. I'll see if I can dig it...

Re: Windows 7 and eCabinets
I disagree Dan because I essentially repeated the words of a Microsoft software engineer on the project. Each OS is it's own yes I agree, BUT the birth of XP, Vista and now 7 are from the NT platform. All I am saying its that when they went to 7 they incorporated many of the XP language into it to e...

Re: Windows 7 and eCabinets
Okay I actually got ahead of myself here and misspoke. Windows 7 is architecturally speaking not closer to XP but in fact Windows NT. I sometimes use those synonymously and that's wrong. When they reworked Vista they took several steps backward before taking a leap. In doing so they introduced a new...

Re: Windows 7 and eCabinets
Well for what it's worth, from what I understand, Windows 7 is, at it's core, more similar to XP than Vista. All the security crap has been stripped and they essentially took the XP platform and modified the UI and added a bunch of other features. I actually have a computer running it right now. It ...

Re: Building a non-standard box
Cool this is actually working!
I just have to get used to the "new" depth, height and width.

Re: Building a non-standard box
Do you mean I should take a cabinet that has an open "front" like all cabinets do and make that the new TOP. The old BACK becomes the new DECK?
Is that right?
That should work.

I didn't know there was such a thing. I will have to find that now.
As for the lock-miter deal, that's a good idea to overlap them. I like that.

Windows 7 and eCabinets
Hello. Does anyone know how Windows 7 and eCabinets will get along? Windows 7 should be released October "09 and I imagine it is being tested with eCabinets by now. Is there any info available on this? Adam P.S. If eCabinets IS NOT being tested yet on the Windows 7 platform, let me know that to...

Building a non-standard box
Hi. Take a look at this "cabinet". It, like all cabinets has an open front to it. However, I am trying to close up all 4 sides and have only the TOP open. In construction setting there is no tab for FRONT, so I can figure out how to close up the front to make a fully enclosed box on all 5 ...
