Maybe an option in CE?

When in room editor, we can resize a cabinet and specify which direction to change the dimensions. For example, if I want to make a cabinet taller I can specify Top, Bottom or Both. Same with width and depth. I understand the reason for these settings in room editor. Would there be a way, when in CE...

What do you find to be the most exhausting task in eCabs?

I'm trying to get a feel for what users of eCabs thinks is one of the more exhausting task top do in eCabs. Maybe if we get enough information gathered on this, we can present it to Thermwood and maybe help the programming staff prioritize development efforts based on user feedback. Please try and l...

Re: Stretcher adjustments based on a cabinet part

Clint,

Must be a bug in eCabs. Restarted eCabs (not computer), reset the adjustments on the stretchers and all is good now. eCabs is not redrawing or recalculating something properly when using the advanced stretcher settings.

Re: Stretcher adjustments based on a cabinet part

Here's a close up of what it appears to be doing to the stretcher. Even though I set the inset to be the "Front" of the "Back" in advanced settings, the stretcher seems to be getting a 0 inset value as evidenced by the attached graphic. I must be doing something wrong, or this is...

Re: Stretcher adjustments based on a cabinet part

Thank you for the reply Carmen.

When I set the stretcher to inset 0, then go into advanced and set inset to "Back", I get what's pictured below. It seems the inset is not taking or I'm doing something wrong. I've regenerated the cabinet and still have stretchers not inset.

Stretcher adjustments based on a cabinet part

When I add a stretcher, and I make an adjustment to set it in .25 from the back, then go into ADVANCED and do the inset to be the back of the cabinet, which of these insets will eCabs use?

Will it use the .25 I plugged in or will it use the inset equal to the back thickness?

Re: Changing grain direction

I think you could create a new sheet good that is the size you are looking for. So instead of the length being 96, make it 40. And make the width 95 instead of 48.

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

Used the command prompt and it worked. Haven't used that in awhile. Took a couple minutes to remember the command line operations and their syntax. Thankfully I remembered the good old "?" to get refreshed.

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

"These things were always so much easier until Windows started "helping" (getting in the way of) perform tasks." --- you can say that again! Not sure what version of Windoze you're using, therefore I'm not sure how much nannying you need to overcome. But this way should work: Re...

Re: Full Dado with Pilot Holes?

Thank you so much for providing these PTN files. A question, I'm trying to rename them to a PTN file and when I right click and select rename, and put .ptn in the name, it appears to now be a fil.ptn.txt file. How do I get rid of the .txt extension and change it to a .ptn extension? These things wer...

Re: Is there an easy way to move walls?

Thanks Ralph. That's exactly what I was looking for. It's unfortunate that the help manual does not spell this out..

Thank you again! :D

Is there an easy way to move walls?

I'm trying to simply move a couple of walls from one location to another on my custom layout. If I select the walls, why can't I use the move objects command of holding the shift key while I hit the arrow keys? That doesn't seem to work. Is there another way to move walls to where I want them positi...

Here you go Leo. I did this for a customer very recently. All done in eCabs.
