Re: Error message

Hi Clint,
Sorry for the late follow-up.
Updating CN to latest version made the problem go away....far away....like further than the moon....

Re: Exporting eCabinet files for other CNCs

JR,
We have a Thermwood router, and we cut parts for professional cabinetmakers. In fact, that's all we do.
Give me a call if you like, I'm sure we can help you with your machining requirements.
Thank you,
JNR

Re: error

Hi Brad, Thanks for the explanation, that was really helpful! I ended up offsetting lines in CAD and running this with "centerline" operations. That's my usual fix...I found overall that CN is completely unpredictable with "chain compin" operations and I haven't trusted them in y...

Re: error

Hi Brad, Sorry I haven't checked in for a little bit. I understand the geometric issue, but can't figure out why the router cut two of the "clover leaves" successfully, yet the third one was incorrect. I would have thought that the controller would simply fail to compensate - but it didn't...

Re: Radius Compensation

Kim, I get that all the time. I just find the J or I coordinate that is a 0 and change it to anything other than 0 and it works great. Also, once you start the file and complete the first tool change, you can navigate to another tool change, or if you already have the tool you want, then you can nav...

Re: Profile Modeler

Hi Kerry,
I thought the tool group was only triggered by specific materials. I'm almost hoping that I'm wrong though - it would be cool to learn another way to do it :)

Re: cs43 double pass issue

Hi Marco, That is likely caused by tooling deflection. There is a feature in Control Nesting in the settings page, under the cut parameters section. Under the drop-down menu, select the "Conventional with Outline Non-Final Pass Climb" or the opposite - and see if that helps. It is worded i...

Re: Tenon cleanup

Tim,
May I ask what kind of tools you are using? Those parts look like they were cut with a chainsaw. I wonder if pocket cleanup isn't the only problem?

Re: customising cnc code

Hi Clint, It's not entirely impossible actually. If you ran your machine in incremental mode instead of absolute mode, you could use some AFL with loops to arrange multiple parts on a sheet using a single piece of gcode. You wouldn't have a printout of a nest, and you might have to shift X or Y manu...

Re: Profile modeler tool group

Hi Jeremy,
I did that once. I fixed it by doing either an old-style THM sync or a CN import, I honestly don't remember which. Do you have either of these utilities?
