e-cabinets crashes

Good evening, all! Has anyone been having an e-cab crash when changing the colors of walls or the finishes on materials or doors? This is happening with great frequency, and not only on one computer. If it were just one, I would think suspiciously of the computer, but two of them makes me wonder wha...

Re: Short drawer parts

Thanks Forrest! That gives us something to work on. In the drawing, the sides show the correct length. It's when you TWD, nest and cut that the parts are short. We'll rebuild your undermount drawer and try that. Whats unusual is that some of the parts are correct.

Short drawer parts

We have an intermittent problem with drawer sides being 1/2" short. The fronts and back lengths are fine. It seems to be a random thing. Some jobs have no problem at all and then we will suddenly have some sides short. Some of the drawers are correct and some aren't, and this is in the same job...

CS 43 error

We had a sudden power outage while the machine (CS43) was sitting idle in e-stop. Lasted about 20 minutes and when I went to turn it back on it tells me to check the PLC error messages which are these: Tue May 14 15:36:00 SINAMICS LINE MODULE DID NOT CONNECT TO PROFIBUS(Check Profibus cable, cable t...

Re: CNC Control panel Troubleshooting

What did the problem turn out to be? Sounded just like what happened to us when the motherboard went out on our CS43. We were down for about 3 days if I remember correctly.

Re: How do I rabbit around an opening after a cutout?

Thanks for the response - but they do operate as two separate cuts - the first is a cut through for the initial opening and then the tool comes back later and makes the full pocket cut, starting at the the center of what is the cutout and pocketing all the way to the outside, over the cut-through.

Re: How do I rabbit around an opening after a cutout?

I think its better to post the file so you can see what I'm working with. The front of the machine is the back and the back is the front. Take it to the editor and you'll see what I mean.

Re: How do I rabbit around an opening after a cutout?

Leo, I've tried that; that was the way I originally drew the cutouts and it works after a fashion. there are 3 rectangular openings that are approximately 8 X 14 two that are 12 X 14 and one that is 14 X 16 inches. It takes a long time to pocked that top quarter inch. I'm going to be cutting 10 unit...

How do I rabbit around an opening after a cutout?

I'm designing a rather complicated machine case in e-cabinets that has cutouts in 3/4 plywood that are cutout, but then need to be rabbited about one quarter inch deep and one half inch wide, completely around the cutout to insert quarter inch clear acrylic so one can see inside the machine. Drawing...

Re: Odd KD on Flip Opps

John, we found the same problem - had a custom cut out job for a customer and was just fixing to recut a piece that had a random dado cut on the wrong side of a top. Just downloaded CN 5.70 to install to fix the error. Talk about timely! Glad I read the forum first thing this morning. Glad to know y...

Re: Missing cabinet bodies error message

Thanks, Josh! I did that, and then, yes, I can change the materials. I had never had any part to the part editor though......although I had made various changes to the blind dado settings to achieve what we were wanting. I'll try to recreated this problem if I have time. I have lost some of the cabi...

Re: Missing cabinet bodies error message

I've uploaded the job file; its just a single test cabinet for "proof of concept" for the contractor. I've attempted to change materials in the "room" setting as well as in the "editors". I've had this same issue a few other times; and its just a nuisance as it goes awa...
