Thanks Forrest,
I talked to Thermwood today and got details in Control Nest Desktop. Sounds like a good solution for us.

Printing Part Labels at Desktop
I would like to print part labels for next job on Dymo 450 at my desktop when cnc and control nest are shut down for day (or weekend) and therefore not remotely connected. I'm running latest ecabs on Windows 7 64 bit. Can this be done without remote connection to control nest at machine?

Re: Cut Through Depth and Holes From Part Editor
Thanks Scott for confirmation and Forrest for your input,
I'll look at areas suggested, just wanted to eliminate this as a possibility prior to exploring other issues.

Cut Through Depth and Holes From Part Editor
I am designing 5mm holes in Ecabinets part editor using the Cut Through Option under Cut/Pocket Using Geometric Shapes. Cabinet Editor depicts the holes as cut all the way through. The outline cuts on this job are cutting all the way through with the Cut Through Depth currently specified in Control ...

Update Windows 2000
While our control nest is running fine we are having some issues with sheet and label printing. As our older printers needed replacement we looked for options in new equipment and came up against roadblocks related to our old operating system. We are running Windows 2000 SP3. For a while we printed ...

Re: Ecabs hole sizing glitch and Control Nest drill tool set
Turns out the constraint manager's 2.49mm R instead of the input 2.5mmR wasn't causing our problems. There may be some rounding or conversion variation but within the confines of our tool tolerance setting. Upon review I found an input error on my part. Nonetheless, thanks for the reply Scott.

Re: Ecabs hole sizing glitch and Control Nest drill tool set
If, as I suspect, there is a rounding or unit conversion restriction causing the size of 5mm and 8mm holes designed in ecabinets using metric unit display to be slightly smaller than 5mm and 8mm, can someone recommend the minimum tool tolerance in Control Nest tool setup necessary to compensate for ...

Ecabs hole sizing glitch and Control Nest drill tool setup
Is there a glitch in ecabs affecting the actual hole size created which then creates issues with getting the right tool selected for hole machining? In the past our ecabs designer worked around issues with control nest's inability to select a tool to drill 5mm shelf pin holes despite having a 5mm dr...

Re: Constraint Manager 2.5mm radius
This issue continues for me; cannot get constraint manager to edit and constrain holes drawn in part editor to 2.5mm radius; 2.49mm amd 2.51mm; but nor 2.5mm. Using constraint manager edit function I type "2.5mm" and get "2.49mm". Same thing with 5mm dia holes created via shelf/p...

Constraint Manager 2.5mm radius
I can't seem to get constraint manager to take 2.5mm as a new radius when editing hole sizes. It keeps giving me 2.49mm.

Re: Hardware Hole Editor - Drill Operation or
We have 5mm drill set up at machine; this is smallest diameter tool. It is drilling 5mm adjustable shelf holes on same job but does not seem to be recognized as an available tool for the 5mm dowel holes created in hardware hole editor for lock dado connectors.

Dovetail Drawers - Suggestions to Improve Process
Looking for suggestions to improve dovetail drawer boxes. I just started cutting out dovetail drawer boxes on our Thermwood and am looking for any suggestions that might improve our process and results. We are using 12mm Baltic Birch (sides & bottom) that is sanded down on a widebelt sander to a...
