Cabinet Height Reference Point
Just checking to see if there is an easier way. I build frameless and in a tall kitchen I will often stack cabinets..I always build pantry cabinets with a lower and an upper cabinet stacked directly on top of it. I also build in metric..which is pertinent because the numbers are not really recogniza...

Re: How many times does your e-cabinet crash?
Kerry, Did some sniffing around, found out that I have the Mobil Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family. I just updated the driver, went back and forth between renederings and layout three times with no lockup. That is an improvement. I can't afford to be out of the shop much longer playing with soft...

Re: How many times does your e-cabinet crash?
Kerry, I have a HP g-71 laptop, intel t4300 running Win 7 home Premium. Ecabs stops responding quite often after doing rendering presentation view and going back to layout. I started at 7:30 this morning, it is 11:19 and Ecabs has locked up about ten times...I am in the habit of saving right before ...

Re: Cutting Windows and Sinks
Wally, are you cutting the hole first, then placing a window over it?

Re: Cutting Windows and Sinks
Hey Wally, I get how to place a window..like I said in my post it is getting the hole in wall editor to line up with the window in custom layout. You need to do both if you want to use outside lighting to enhance a layout...I'm guessing. BTW, I have paid for the video sessions which are great for an...

Cutting Windows and Sinks
Perhaps there is an easier way to do this...on cutting a hole in the wall for a window to add lighting effects, or to cut a hole in the countertop to place a sink... I am having an incredibly tough time getting holes to line up. I am placing an object in one enviroment and then creating a hole for i...

Re: Cabinet Size Glitch?
Josh, sorry but I already deleted the cabinets and reinstalled them, went through and material listed them one by one and they are now fine. The only thing that I did differently was to hold down the shift key while changing to wire frame and to also hold it down while choosing the resize because it...

Getting accurate drawer box sizes
When I bring a cabinet into the editor and take a look at dbx's and drawers, they are the correct size, but from the buy list the width, which is accurate, becomes the height also, which is wrong. How can I correct this?

Cabinet Size Glitch?
Anyone experience this? I am trying like heck to finish this layout...my first one with ecab so perhaps this is my error. I'm two weeks in just trying to learn this program and generate this one kitchen. As I'm resizing a few cabinets to make everything as symetrical as possible, I notice that a bas...

Re: Countertop to parts editor
Thanks! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. I was laughing because it took me less time today to cut out a real sink in a countertop than it did to cut out a virtual sink.

Countertop to parts editor
How do I get a countertop into the editor where I can cut a hole? The parts editor is in the Cabinet Editor..I can't get there from here.. Also..is there a way to remove countertops from the Custom Layout so as to see and tweak cabinets below without deleting them? Thanks, MikeS

Lazy Susan Cabinet Setup
Alright, been trying to get up and running by spending my third 12 hour day seated in front of the computer watching videos and searching the forumns but I'm burning out now so I'm gonna need some help. I'm trying to develop a base lazy susan but I'm running into some problems. I build frameless, an...
