Ecab updates

Probably a message to the devs. We have been running parallel programs since we got our CS43 in say 2010. Beauty of a machine! Personally I love Ecabinets and understand it and its draw backs. It is difficult for the average office worker to slap together some quick drawings. That is my question her...

Re: Mozaik

I'm talking for custom cabinet parts, gables, bottoms and backs, drawer boxes in different lengths and millimeter width and height increments. Every cabinet is slightly different so it is impossible to setup DXF templates as well...

Re: Mozaik

We are also real interested in the Mozaik link. They are trying to build us a post processor but are having a bad time of it! Not real enthused about that anyway as it only generates G code for one sheet per file. Would love to stay with eCabinets but the 3D drawing and pricing are the issues. The p...

Re: Issue updating to 6.2.1

Hi Scott, with your expertise I am sure you thought of these...

-Is your existing file path over a network?
-Also with previous versions of Window I occasionally would run into it were I need to "unblock" a downloaded file under file properties...

Re: Suggestions on how to drill three sets of shelf pin holes

When in Part Editor, the Windows shortcut Control + A works to select all geometry.

Thanks Clint, This is AWESOME! To elaborate for others wanting to use this.

1- Right click and select "cut/pocket using closed contour" 1st.
2-Then hit "ctrl A"
3-Voila!!

Re: Wish list

Thanks Tim/Clint, for the help with adding items. Exactly what I was looking for! I am not sure why I missed it in the "Help" 1. Can you be a little more descriptive about this? So we have a cabinet with a door that has a 2 roll outs shelves. The bottom hinge has to get drilled at 1...

Thanks for trying. Are you on the newest version or on 6.2?

Wish list

I guess since the Thermwood Team hasn't setup a wish list post I will keep leaving my wish lists here and there...  1- Display the hinge drilling placement with a "mouse over". For those that have to redo a door after the cabinet is on site this would be AWESOME!! 2- I am worki...

Re: Part Editor Cuts

For machining we cut them out as folds. We have even CADed out big tapered range hoods pocketed panels into the front, flipped and folded.

Re: Trouble cutting cabinet parts

I would recommend setting up your libraries so you don't have flip opps. We avoid them if at all possible. We have been machining for 7-8 years and still have stress achieving the accuracy we like with a flip opp.

Profile modeler

Hi we are modeling a profile on the outside of a solid wood door. Currently the model starts in the center of the door and works towards the outside leaving narrow sliver that chips and splinters on the final pass. Does anyone know if there is a way to reverse that so it starts at the outside of the...

Re: Close call today, CNC fire

We have had the same issue at one point. Ours was using the 1/4" to pocket the hole instead of the drill bit to drill. That was before we started using tool groups designated to the material. I believe there is a setting in the tooling to only drill a set depth than come up to clean out. If you...
