Re: Converting Assemblies to Cabinets?

Wow, you may have really saved us a LOT of grief (well at least you may have saved our contractor a world of hurt). I tried that on one of the Assemblies and it seemed to work very well - the only item that didn't come through was a faux drawer panel we had at the top over the door (this particular ...

Converting Assemblies to Cabinets?

Hi, I'm in a real mess... a contractor I hired to develop some cabinets for me somehow designed a great number of cabinets as Assembly files (.esa) While I can put those into a room the problem is that we have all our other cabinets for this large library (about half of them) already set up as actua...

Re: Problems with door editor.

Try to isolate the problem too. I've found that often times I need to run eCab's, SolidWorks, Exel, Photoshop and perhaps Outlook or other software at the same time. For some reason, eCab' doesn't like that combination. I think it doesn't like SolidWorks :) They are probably both fighting for proces...

Re: Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Thanks George!!!

Hey, to achieve Display Objects with different colors/finishes on different surfaces/parts are you importing separate STL files, applying color/finish and then assembling the individual parts into an Assembly or Display Object?

Re: Light switch

George, I always notice lots of custom hardware/products in your image posts... do you model those externally and import them as STL files, then convert to HSF? I've been bringing things in that way but I'm not sure I know how to get different colors/finishes applied to different surfaces of the HSF...

Re: Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Thanks again for all your help... everyone!

I'm slowly getting the hang of the software and starting to "think" eCab convention vs. traditional CAD methodology.

Re: Rear Toe Kick

Whoa, figger'd it out. Cut out the side panels at the rear and found that in the adjust stretcher mode there were two additional parameters (#5 and #6) that I could force to negative numbers, lock down and make that stretcher sit out on the cut faces of those side panels to make a rear toe kick. :be...

Rear Toe Kick

Hey all, I've got another challenge... Rear Toe Kick. I'm designing some transaction counter cabinets. These are cabinets where a clerk at a store stands at the front of the cabinet where the drawer/doors would be and a customer stands on the other side (the back). I'm looking for help with putting ...

Re: Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Thank you all very much! I'm so inept with this software I'm not even sure how to use the files you all have provided :( After I download them, I'm guessing I need to put them into a specific folder but after that... do they become display objects? I'd love to be able to add a slatwall component tha...

Re: Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Brad,

Good point... you have me thinking... can this be done with some vertical stretchers that float on the back of the cabinet maybe?

Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Hey all, I'm creating a cabinet that will be used at a point of sale area for a retail store. The cabinet doors/drawers will face the clerk and the "back" will face the customer. My client wants slatwall on the back. We typically just purchase sheets of slatwall, cut them to size in the fi...

Re: Library Procedure Recommendations

Thanks Daniel, I was really hoping there was some more automated means to pull this off. I haven't taught myself anything regarding batch items but it sounds well worth the effort to do so. I'm getting ready to get the video training series so hopefully there's some "Batch" training includ...

Library Procedure Recommendations

Hey everyone, I've been tasked with developing a line of cabinetry that our company will sell as our standard offering. This line will be comprised of 47 cabinets. The line will also be available in 8 different laminated finishes. I've been experimenting with the software for some time and have succ...

Re: Cabinet to Wall Clearance - Corner Cabinet?

Kerry, Thanks! I guess I didn't realize that it would offset correctly in one direction... just not both. I simply wasn't giving the software time to react to my furious mouse movements! I was able to successfully duplicate exactly what you suggested and it worked great. That saves me from having to...
