Thanks Daniel. The signal seems to come and go, probably due to the building and distance from the router. I have already considered a hard wire to the router, then trying to connect the PC to the cnc. Might be my only option.

Thanks for all the replies. My thought with using the .096 was that, being much thinner than the .17, I wouldn't be getting a deep enough cut through the sheets we are cutting, and I would have to adjust all of my parts files to allow for the deeper cut I would need. This is from someone pretty new to CNC work, so hopefully my question isn't too idiotic. I noticed the flycut procedure only lets you go down to about .17 inches, then won't let you flycut anymore.
