fan trouble shooting

I have installed a new router in this cnc, noticing that the fan at the top of the router is not running. Shouldn't this fan be running as long as the machine is cutting?

re-surface tool length sensor.

Over time my tool length sensor has become pitted in the very center of the hard plastic pad, from use over the life of this machine. I am wondering if it would have any effect on the accuracy of the sensor if I were to sand the surface of the sensor

thank you.

Trouble shooting atomatic oil system

one side of the cnc is well oiled (whiping oil off the trustrod onto mechine and floor) one side is nearly dry. The lines appear to be free of debrise, and oiler it driping regularly. I wondered if the defuser where the main line from the reservoir splits to feed the gantry tracks and trustrods bear...

Re: trouble shooting a tool length sensor

No, I have a weeky cleaning rutine for the entire mechine. Another trait of these errors, when the typewriter is in position above the sensor it will assend to the Z boundry rather then decesnd to the sensor.

trouble shooting a tool length sensor

Lately my tool length sensor has been giving me an inaccurate measurment nearly every time. What I have been doing is repeating the tool length process untill I get two measurements in a row that are within .002 difference and go from there, starting my program and making adjustments to the daylight...

Flycut Tableboard starting position

It has been several years sense the tableboard on my cnc has been changed, this week it has reached its end after friction from a pocketing opperation caused a ember to catch fire... We are now in the process of trying to flycut the new tableboard. once the new thicknesses were entered I stated the ...

Re: override tool auto slection (closest diamiter)

I have tryed what you suggested with no luck. I set the cleanup to 0.01" on both 1/4" and 3/8" bits.

override tool auto slection (closest diamiter)

Noticed that my cnc has stoped using the 3/8" bit, and defaults to the 1/4" for all pocketing opperations. We use pocket and tennon construction in this shop, assinging the 3/8" to cut the tennons and the 1/4" for the pockets. I would like to find a way to set so that it does aut...
