Re: Shelf holes feature request

I wholeheartedly second this idea!! I am doing it the way everyone else is doing it but I've often wondered how hard it would be to add an option to generate the pin holes from the height of the cabinet end minus a specified inset. If it was based on the height of the cabinet in some way that would ...

Idea for the make phantom parts option

Good morning programmers!! I just had a brainwave that would save mouse clicks when designing cabinets and I think it would be very easy to implement. - in the constructions settings dialog add a checkbox on the tab of each part that you check to make the part a phantom part. So for instance, I add ...

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

It wrote an odd line of code in there. Can you load the file into Control Nesting and then get me an export? Once its loaded go to File and then choose Export. Save it somewhere you can find it. If you can post it, that would be great, if you can't, you can upload it here http://www.ecabinetsystems...

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

Can you post the actual CNC code you ran? Unless you have changed it, the default save location is D:\data\Rolling_Nest\Cnc-Files. If there are multiple sheets, let me know which sheet it was on to save me a great deal of time. May need other stuff, but we will start with that. -Clint- Alright here...

What version of Control Nesting are you on?

-Clint-
I have v6.06, but this has happened in the last couple of versions as well. Generally, I try to avoid creating flip operations to save time so I didn't worry about it too much, but it seems we're doing more of that kind of thing recently.

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

Really hard to know where to begin until more info is provided. What machine are you using? How are you setup? what kind of hold down system do you have? Are you doing flip ops first or last? Maybe a picture of the machine. Are you using different tooling for different operations? Ok, I'm back... 1...

Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

Hi guys, I have a little problem with blind dadoes when I have to do a flip operation on a part. The tongue is cut on the first side of the sheet and then when I flip the part to cut the thickness off of the tongue it cuts a big gouge into the part at an angle. I will attach a picture so you can see...

Cutlist - export to excel link not showing

Good morning all, I just ran into this problem this morning when I was going to export my cutlist. The link at the top of the cutlist to export to excel doesn't seem to exist. I looked on this forum and tried all the suggestions that seemed to work for the others and it still doesn't show. Specifica...

Re: Drawer Fronts and Drawer Boxes

Hey Steve, I guess if you tried everything then there is nothing left to do! Kidding...Seriously though I have run into a few issues like that and in the end it seems like the one thing that seems to work more often than not is to save everything, shut down ecabinets completely, do twenty pus...

An idea for the perimeter machining on doors and drawers

Good morning all, I had this idea to add some functionality to the door and drawer editor and I think it would be fairly easy to implement. So right now when I want to do a five piece drawer front on a job I have to cheat the system a little to get what I want. The software only allows one dimension...

Re: Material not found error

I am having this same problem when I load the jobs. I make up a batch list of cabinets and save it and when I open it later I get the dialog saying I material not found and I have to select a material. Sometimes I have to select the new material once and sometimes it asks met to do it 6-12 times bef...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

This is an interesting discussion. I will agree with Scott and add my opinion that probably the most efficient way of sorting parts is to use macros. This is what we have been doing for a few years. In the beginning I thought that it was an oversight that ecabinets didn't have a way of manipulating ...
