Re: sheet yield incorrect

It's because the green panels are "off-fall" and are figured at 100% yield, since you can cut them for another project. The only "waste" on that sheet is the kerf!

Well, that's a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

Re: DXF pocket behavior

I got my holes cut using the method mentioned in the above posts using the DRILL command and subsequent parameter tree, but it looks like the DXF arc bug is pervasive. One side of the stud has proper dogbone corners, but the other side cut them "inside out"? See attached.

Re: DXF pocket behavior

I had originally thought I had forgot to break my pocket geometry into two arcs but that is not the case. I'll have to change my protocol to see if the "drill" secondary and tertiary methods will allow this to work. Larry: I know its no consolation to you programmers, but I'm glad this one...

Re: DXF pocket behavior

What is the fastest way to roll back to the previous version? I didn't see any options in the menu trees.

DXF pocket behavior

Anyone running the NEW CN update getting funny behavior with cutting round pockets? I use a pocket operation to cut the wire holes in diewall studs and the broken circle geometry (break the circle into two arcs, otherwise it is a drill operation) shows as only one of the segments in the nesting diag...

Re: CN v6.11 manual nest crash

Can confirm. Often when manually nesting, I will cut a part from the last sheet and try to paste it into a previous sheet. After navigating to the previous sheet, I can't paste the part. It seems intermittent, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Pocket Screw Joinery

I've used eCabS for some time, but just recently acquired a job that necessitates using strictly pocket screw joinery. If I load a typical cabinet from my seed library and globally change the joinery to pocket screw, it places the pocket screws for some components on the incorrect side of the part. ...

Re: Shelf Standards or pilasters

Stuart, I did this in the past with a hardware pattern as you mentioned: This is what I was looking for, I just didn't have the head space to get into it because the job was a rush job. I had 3 different heights to deal with, and made dadoes in the part editor to match them on a seed cabinet, so I ...

Re: Shelf Standards or pilasters

All great suggestions! I had worked on this in an awful hurry, and since the job was only 2 dozen cabinets, mostly similar, I used the part editor to strike the stopped dados in the gables. It took a test cut to really dial in the depth, but since none of the cabinets I was making for this one neede...

Shelf Standards or pilasters

Good morning hive mind, I've got some KV 256 Shelf standards to install in a job in lieu of shelf holes. What is the fastest way to set the dados up for these? Should I make a PTN and try to get it associated with a a part (fixed shelf, Butt joineryw/clearance) or use the part editor to make a dedic...

Re: Tooling of part editor cuts

Clint, thanks for your aid in this. I wish that ECabS would distinguish between a true "pocket" and a "thru cut." The impetus for all of this was of course a few broken bits. So I have changed the max penetration on the smallest pocket tool to force it to make multiple passes ins...

Re: Tooling of part editor cuts

Clint, Your suggestion does in fact change the tool in question, but my desire is to make the thru cut described with a tool that is normally not called for when pocketing. When I program a part editor cut that cuts thru the piece, I'd like it to cut with the same bit I would do my outline with, so ...
