Inset Drawer fronts behind Door

I have a cabinet design that incorporates inset drawers behind a tall door. Is there a way to get dboxes WITH fronts behind the door, inclusive of the hinge plate pattern? I can seem to get this to work the way I'd like. TIA.

Re: Unable to create geometry set in dbox editor

Is anyone else able to do this? Not sure what I'm missing in this process. :wall:

Unable to create geometry set in dbox editor

I have designed a dbox with a profiled top edge on the front (hand scoop) but when I try to unify the geometry as a set, I cannot select any of my geometry to include in it. Is this by design, for the dbox editor?

Material image for "B" side

FEATURE REQUEST Is it possible to have single sided material "B" sides designated with an image? The single sided material looks identical to double sided material when shown in eCabS. Think about an open base cabinet; The inside of this cabinet presents as a finished face, and an adjustab...

Re: Making GLASS panel slab doors

Interesting to note: The part editor and constraint manager buttons don't always show up in the door/drawer-front designer pop-up window! They are conspicuously missing in the pop-up when any screen other than a blank "Cabinet/Assembly Editor" screen is displayed. That may have led my init...

Re: Making GLASS panel slab doors

I don't often use the door/front designer, but am familiar with the part editor. I know that you can spec "a" and "b" sides, but unless the material is "double sided" (mine is not) the outline cut seems to always cut after A flip op. I'll keep at it, I like to learn new...

Re: Rectangular Optimization bugs

I've noticed that this option also has trouble with added sheets. If there are added sheets of ANY material in the queue, then the rectangular optimization starts with the partial sheets, even if the material specified is completely different thickness. Still happening after the last CN update.

Re: Making GLASS panel slab doors

Mark, You're moving me forward! I don't know why I got to thinking it had to be a "MDF" door, but the slab is much simpler! As usual, I'm over thinking it, and when I stumble, I look for a different solution. I had tried to constrain a slab door, but changed direction when I couldn'...

Making GLASS panel slab doors

Our bread and butter is institutional PL cabinets with slab doors. In the past when a glass panel door was called out, I'd fab a rabbeted frame in the traditional manner, using solid poplar 1x core, running vinyl edge banding on the inside edge of my frame parts before cutting the cope and stick lap...

Re: How do you change the waste board thickness without flycutting?

In the THM control, click on the file menu, edit dropdown, then go to machine variables. Scroll down until you see the value for wasteboard thickness. You can edit by double clicking on it. BE CAREFUL, a fat finger here can make a bad day. I often copy the existing value to the clipboard before chan...

Re: Cutlist programs

This can be done in MS Access. It's bundled with the MS office stuff, typically, which means you might already have it. That said, If you've never worked with a database in Access, the learning curve feels steep. I have a family member who literally uses it for his 9-5, and he did most of the dirty ...

Lead in/out on final pass when roughing

This has happened twice now, and I think I've narrowed it down to the roughing function, identical parts in a plain outline seem to cut fine. For what its worth, I used the rectangular nesting for this. Dxf's with convoluted corners on the outline layer sometimes lead in/out on the inside of the par...

Re: CN hangs when nesting profiled MDF doors

Our control is less than ten years old, and I likely have some extra ram around here any how. :) I just wonder if anybody here has done any significant hardware upgrades, and their experience with them. Incompatibility pitfalls, sufficient boosts from one component over another, etc...

Re: CN hangs when nesting profiled MDF doors

Clint, sure thing. For the record, I left the control on over night and it DID eventually choke. "out of memory" dialog window was up when I got in this morning. Any advice from anyone who replaced their RAM? I'd like to max it out now, so I don't have to deal with this. Whats the maximum ...
