Have you heard anything from the engineers?

Troy,

They see the issue, but are backlogged with other software updates. I'm working to see if I can find a work around. I was out earlier this week and have been playing catch up.

Re: profile modeler 'nest' direction

Matt, The layout of the part in eCabinets will dictate how the part is run in Profile Modeler. Taking a cabinet back as an example, the width of the back will run parallel with the Y axis on your machine, the height of the back will run parallel with the X axis. Depending on your needs, have you tri...

Re: Pocket Cutting Off Profiled Edge

Troy, Not sure exactly whats going on with this one, I'll have to send it to the software engineers. The attached picture is the backplot of the code. Each of the white lines is the path the tool takes. So the center one that cut correctly has the correct shape. For whatever reason the outer two cir...

Re: Pocket Cutting Off Profiled Edge

Also worth noting for Troy and others, if you are bringing in geometry to Shape Manager or Contour Mode of Part Editor, it is worth looking at the DXF Option setting in the right click menu. Looking at Troy's part, I'd guess his setting is set to Import Polylines as Lines. This outputs all those bla...

Re: Pocket Cutting Off Profiled Edge

Troy,

Can you post an export from Control Nesting? Can I also get a picture of some settings in Profile Modeler? Open Profile Modeler, go to Operation and choose Defaults. Take a picture of that screen so I can get your defaults.

Re: Posting a cabinet

Sorry for a delay in response. You can create a contour line to run the profile down. You are not limited to edges of parts to sweep profiles. Once you create edges, you can offset the bottom edge up the 7", then trim the length of the line to that line. Depending on the direction you want to c...

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

Something is going on with the Single Pass Tenon Cuts being checked. I'll have to send it to the software engineers to have a look at. Looks like unchecking that setting lets it work correctly, just a bit more machining time to cuts the tenons.

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

It wrote an odd line of code in there. Can you load the file into Control Nesting and then get me an export? Once its loaded go to File and then choose Export. Save it somewhere you can find it. If you can post it, that would be great, if you can't, you can upload it here http://www.ecabinetsystems....

Re: Blind dado flip of not cutting correctly

Can you post the actual CNC code you ran? Unless you have changed it, the default save location is D:\data\Rolling_Nest\Cnc-Files. If there are multiple sheets, let me know which sheet it was on to save me a great deal of time. May need other stuff, but we will start with that.

Re: need help with shape manager tool

You can also use the Trim Two tool for the intersection points. The tops of the line don't touch the vertical portion, the bottoms of the line intersect the lower vertical lines. Something is off in the DXF from Amana. Mastercam does not recognize it as a chain.

Re: Stretcher adjustments based on a cabinet part

Don, I opened your cabinet and saw each stretcher had a -.2" inset for the inset relative to the back. When you set a stretcher relative to another part, you need to readjust the inset value back to zero. If your's each show zero, try restarting your computer and eCabinets to make sure nothing ...

Re: Manual Nesting issues, etc...

I took 52 seconds to finished "calculating" but when I used version 6.06 it happened in a blink of an eye. so something is off I agree, just wanted to make sure if it wasn't able to calculate at all. Little details can make big differences. I'll get it listed for the software engineers to...
