Re: Ramp for pockets
Or even to get to the real heart of the matter would be if I could add a ramp setting to a tool. I am using a flycutter type tool for pocketing out shaker style mdf doors and so a short ramp setting really gets hard on the tool.

Re: Ramp for pockets
Yep, What Brad said. Maybe in the pocket area or something. It actually is working now fairly well. I can just set the rout area to one things when I am running mdf doors and then change it back when I am doing other parts. The problem is just when I am doing other parts in the same nest. It is help...

Ramp for pockets
Is there any way to set the ramps different for the types of operations? I am cutting shaker style mdf doors and so would like a larger ramp for my larger fly-cutter type tool that I am using for that pocket operation. But I don't want to use a large ramp for my outline/rout operations.

Hanging rail closet systems
We are looking for a library of hanging rail closet system components. I know there are some folks on here using this sort of thing already. Would anyone be willing to share or sell their library? We are new to the closet area so we don't have anything so far that we would need customized. Just a st...

"Cuts" feature in Control Nesting
Are there any thoughts of adding some version of the 'Cuts' option from the Cut Ready into Control Nesting? Where we see the need for this is cutting a radius on solid wood parts that we don't automatically send to our cnc. Arc on the front of a butcherblock bar top, a arch in a valance, straightlin...

Re: Min Pocket Leftover area for outline
I was able to place a 5mm drill operation right there in the corner and then save that back into the catalog in Cabinet Vision. Got me the result that I wanted.

Re: DXFs Won't Nest. No Current Record error displayed
Brad- Yes all those settings match what we have set up in the machine catalog. We ran a whole job and it worked fine. Then we made some changes to our construction method to nearly eliminate all back sided operations. Now the few double sided operations that are left don't seem to work at all. I hav...

DXFs Won't Nest. No Current Record error displayed
I have a few top stretchers that just will not nest. I get the No Current Record error displayed. Any idea what might be the matter with them? The forum would not let me attach the dxfs so here is a link to the folder they are in. The DXF parts list file is attached. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mk3v5...

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43
I don't think that a different texture is needed for each face. We just did not have any texture on any face. As soon as I added it then it seemed that it knew that is was face dependent. Do I check back with Clint for the updated documentation with the tooling definitions to get rid of those shear ...

Re: Min Pocket Leftover area for outline
That is unfortunate. I use a 3/8 compression for my outline cuts and would like to cut the toe notch as well. The radius left by the 3/8 cutter is almost too much. Not sure its worth it if I have to clean up all the corners afterward.

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43
Ya I had that figured out and set up that way and was still having problems. My problem was in my material settings in CV. I did not have a texture assigned to either face. So in the export in field 11 where it says if the part is face dependent it had 0/False. As soon as I assigned a texture to the...

Min Pocket Leftover area for outline
Is the min pocket leftover area setting supposed to apply to the outline cut as well? I am wanting to clean up some of my right angles and it seems like this setting isn't having any affect. I am importing layered dxf into CN.

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43
Those documents were great! Everything seems to be outputting just like it is supposed to. Control nesting now seems to be having a bit of problem with getting the parts placed right side up though. On the documentation it says that the face dependent material should be preserved but that is not how...

Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43
We just got a Model 43. We have been using Cabinet Vision for our main software so we will most likely keep using that for our main software. We are interested in trying to export .dxf from Cabinet Vision to the control to make use of the Control Nesting features. Does anyone have experience with th...
