Re: ***IMPORTANT*** What to check on the cnc after a earthquake!
Hey Thom, I hope everything is going ok down there for you all. My cousin is heading down that way in the next couple of days to help with assessing peoples houses and putting temporary props in place to hold houses together until everyone gets insurance etc sorted out. As for the CNC, as long as al...

Re: Can't back up files
Hmm that's odd. When your locating the G:/ through the back up restore settings, can it be located or are you manually typing in the location? When you back it up to a folder on your hard drive, how big is the file? Just wondering if the file might be too big for your pen drive? Have you tried backi...

Hi Al,
Long time no chat! Have you tried changing the location to save your backup files to? I think in eCabinets click File > Back up restore settings and change the location in there...

Akela pty is doing the sales and commissioning of routers in Australia and New Zealand, they have an agent up in Auckland but they have been pretty busy with the start up of it all. I know the company know alot about machines and software but not sure exactly how much they know about Joinery and eCa...

Re: material leftover from last nesting
Hi Neville, Yes you can use true shape nesting in your next nest or any nest after the offcut has been created. If you use a barcode scanner your label printer will print a barcode for the offcut so you can either use it straight away or months down the track depending on how good your offcut sortin...

Re: Drawer Slide Front Mounting Hole - Incorrect Orientation
Hi Bryan,
I would imagine with the way drawer boxes have been moving along since they first came in to eCabinets that edgebanding wouldn't be too far away.... Drawer front fixing has however been a very long time coming so hopefully that will be as high on the priority list

Re: Drawer Slide Front Mounting Hole - Incorrect Orientation
Hi all, Very interesting topic indeed. I haven't used eCabinets for a little while but I have been using it since V3.2 where the part editor wasn't even available. I do think it would be a huge benefit to Thermwood users in NZ and Australia to have the ability to drill the backs of drawers fronts, a...

Re: Can't find an approapriate tool
Hi Dale, The way the tooling works for Dado's is the tool needs to be at least half the diameter of the dado cut itself which in this case is 12.7mm. CN will only do 2 passes for a dado cut. It may look like it's doing 3 passes but that's just because it starts in the middle of the dado so it can ra...

Re: Any time frame on new release Control nesting?
Good idea guys, It would be quite handy if when it pops up saying that the pocket tool diameter wont work if it could ask there and then on the same screen for you to enter a new diameter tool... Or even when the error pops up, ask if you want to change the diameter now, click yes and it takes you s...

Re: Fake Paneled Doors
Hey Bryan,
You could possibly talk to Arborline if your are a high user of there doors and ask them for a copy of the dxf for you to import into eCabinets?
I forget the guys name there now who I used to deal with, I think it was Andrew somebody? That way you can import it into the part editor...

Hi Georgi,
I believe when doing something like this, you also need to select "Nest to edge of sheet" in your nesting paramaters.
Hope this helps,
Paul

Re: A New Approach to Custom Cabinets
Hi Neville,
When CN prints out your nesting sheets (The A4 ones) you can set it to show part names etc if this helps?
I know over an entire kitchen it will be quite a few sheets of paper and the print out wont be in any particular order but it could be a start...
