Re: Here's one for the gurus
Start with a wall cabinet, remove the deck, and apply the face frames as desired. You can put a drawer anywhere you want.

Re: Can't open old jobs with new build
Problem is on my end. I restored my jobs from a backup and the problem went away. First I restored to the last ecabs build and the jobs wouldn't open there either. that's when I figured my job file was corrupted. hope I didn't waste too much of your time.
Thanks,
Glenn

Can't open old jobs with new build
Get a box saying "Unable to open Ecabinets file data" followed by box saying "There was an error after opening the job file". Tried to open several different jobs with same result. I can open cabinets, but the materials are not found. My user path is different from the default, w...

Re: Bringing Furniture Business to Cabinetmakers
This is hot!! I figured you had something major planned to coincide with IWF. I was debating attending this year, but this clinches it. Can't wait for the official announcement and thanks for the advanced notice to forum members. I don't have a machine, but I can see the value and potential for this...

Re: help with stretchers
The grain direction had me fooled. And the fact that your stretcher material has to be as wide as the front to back dimension, which you need to calculate. Thanks.

Re: help with stretchers
Not sure how you did that Kerry. Up Down stretcher goes between the top and the deck. Left Right stretcher goes between the sides. Front back stretcher needs two parallel parts like the back and toe kick, face frames don't count. The pic you posted has the stretcher between the back and the air. Can...

Re: help with stretchers
Do yourself a big favor and subscribe to the video tutorials. It $25 per month. You can easily go thru the whole series in a month. By the time you get a response from the forum, experiment, clarify, and ask more questions you've got more than $25 invested. Not trying to put you off but I believe th...

Re: Corner cabinet partitions
I made a corner cab with a partition by extending the top and bottom with negative insets and adding a display panel for the new side. The real side becomes the partition.

Silly me. I was hoping for a surprise Xmas present in that 110 mb download. Even without new features, still thankful for the privilege of continued use.

Re: In House Door panels
Using the build in house option, I can get all the right sizes for rails, stiles and panels in the cut list. Just can't get a nest diagram for the panels, since they can only be specified as board stock. I cut these on a slider, no CNC here.

Re: In House Door panels
A five piece door with 3/4" rails and stiles, and a 1/4" flat panel. I want to nest the 1/4" sheet material. The build in-house option doesn't appear to allow this.

In House Door panels
Is there any way to make the door panels out of sheet stock, so they can be nested? Board stock is the only option I see. I'm using beaded mdf for flat panels.

Glenn

Re: I seek your opinion on the shell on the left
Two ideas --
Make the top a torsion box
or
Kerf the bottom of the solid top and insert a piece of angle iron in the kerf with epoxy, with the lip of the angle iron fastened to the bottom of the top. Might need two or more pieces.

Furniture libraries?
Will the old custom furniture libraries, Renaissance Hall, Brittany, Italian Renaissance, etc be available again? I notice only Italian Contemporary are there now.
