Re: Program Sharing

Michael, The " Lounge " is probably not the best place to post an inquiry such as this. The forum is for " Off-topic discussion that doesn't pertain to the other forums. " You may get a better response by posting under the eCabinet Systems Software forum. Alternatively, send your...

Re: label printers

Tommy - I stand corrected. There is an issue with the new Dymo model as it appears that they are trying to lock owners into having to purchase " Genuine Dymo " labels (???). As you may be aware, our staff have contacted Carl (@ Silverpine) and have suggested the Dymo Labelwriter 4XL . This...

Re: Updating Thermwood Software on Nest

Jacob, I believe the the GRAIN field use to be Y/yes or N/no . I am unsure of what the the assumptions were if not a Y/yes or N/no was not specified, but from your reference to " 1 " (or a non-zero normally understood as TRUE), it looks like anything other than N/no was seen as " YES ...

Re: Multiple Material Sizes

We have seen this sort of request as well from a few companies that deal with some VERY expensive materials. There are online systems that can do this sort of material optimization based on the availability of multiple sheet sizes. They do not necessarily translate directly into Control Nesting as t...

Re: Updating Thermwood Software on Nest

Jacob, It is possible that your issue is with the DXF File List . In 6.24 , Control Nesting introduced the ability to specify the GRAIN ORIENTATION (or ANGLE) in the list itself. That new feature is of course reflected in the all later versions as well. Changes/Additions for v6.24 (8/3/2021) Ability...

Ingberts re-post (doubled) on January 5th was in error. Ingbert was actually attempting to delete his original post.

We will be following up with Ingbert to resolve any Control Nesting and Profile Modeler questions and possible issues he may have.

Re: Override Tool Life timer

Another possibility is adding an AFL " WEARFACTOR " call to the program. Not sure exactly when it was implemented in the THM control software, but the statement is available in THM9 onward. By adding a line [WEARFACTOR 0.0001] you reduce the rate at which the LIFE-LEFT is REDUCED by a fact...

Re: Dowel construction

Ian, As Scott suggested, OPTION 1 ( KD/RTA Hardware Hole Patterns ) is the most widely used by our clients in conjunction with a parametric dowel inserter (Omal or other). This combination ensures the holes all align. Note: When creating the pattern for eCabinet Systems , you only define the hole on...

Re: New User - Few Questions

Brandon, Regarding your Hinge Cup Machining issue - If Control Nesting has not found a TRUE drill with a MATCHING diameter to machine the hole, it will then look for a tool that can INTERPOLATE and has a MAX DIA equal to or larger than the target hole. If no appropriate tool is available to INTERPOL...
