Re: Face Frame print outs?

The dimensioning is still the same but you dont have to delete the doors and drawes. You can hide those parts in the Line Drawing Editor. Select the PRT button. Hover over the door or drawer front it turns red. Left click it turns green. Continue to select the parts that you dont want to see. Once d...

Re: Face Frames

Randy, Go into the face frame editor. Highlight the mid rails or stiles you want to change then click on the construction settings icon. Go to page 2 and change the sizes. That should change them. You have to be in the face frame editor and have the ones highlighted you want to change to make it wor...

Re: Cabinet Finish

I use zar stain it does a pretty good job on alder. Its not a gel stain but it thicker than just a standard oil stain. Been playing around with the maple and just cant get the darker colors to go. Not sure I want to get into sparying stain too although Wally's job looks great. Get enough hassle spar...

Re: Cabinet Finish

Good Info from all. I am looking to go to waterborne products. Litte skimish because I dont know what I dont know. Really only finish because I cant find anyone else who will that does a decent job. Hate to see good cabinets get screwed up by a bad finish which has happend more than the other way ar...

Re: Cabinet Finish

Kerry, What kind of spray rig do you use? I currently use an airless but will probably go to a HVLP system. Went to a little class today and they described the same type of steps as you do. He also talked about tinting the sealer which seems to be a standard. Not sure how to decide whether to go wit...

Cabinet Finish

I know we have had this discussion before. But maybe we can rehash it. How do you finish your cabinets. I tell my customers I am a cabinet maker not a finisher/painter. I use standard off the shelf wiping stain and laquer with an airless sprayer ( Airlessco sprayer). I wont stain maple or cherry do ...

Re: Need a little help

I have found the note function to be a little touchy. Sometimes it takes a couple clicks to get it to work.

Re: Stretcher Problems

I only added the stretcher for the cutting board because it seemed like it might be easier then using a display board. Now I cant add a stretcher to any cabinet. it goes wacky. Even if I try to adjust an existing stretcher it does not work right. Not sure what got corrupted might just have to start ...

Stretcher Problems

Need help. I am trying to add an additional stretcher to box so I can show a cutting board. While doing this I was going to change the size of drawer fronts. I got through one but now after I add a stretcher then try to adjust it the stretcher goes outside the box and grows oversize of the box. It w...

Re: Part Editor---contour cutting

I've found you dont have to have the lines appear to intersect. If they are close it figures is out when you use the trim function. Saves some time not extending the lines.

Re: OT Do you know what is in your computer

George, might be off base here but saw you were asking how to make things run better on your computer. It looked to me like you had Norton for an antivirus and such. My experience with them is they are a hugh resource hog!!!! Hard to get rid of too. That might help. There are free ones that get reco...

Re: weird movement placing cabinets

dont worry about the questions. you are probably asking something that lots of others are dealing with and cant figure out. I have found when moving cabinets with the arrow key I have to use the "freestyle" cabinet placement mode or my cabinet will sometimes go somewhere never to be seen a...
