... around to making this video?

Please can the IT check that and update the eCabinet Software to solve this Problem.

We have to cut the 45 by Hand or have to use VCarve for it which makes everything more complicated and longer.

Ingbert,

CNC Automation should have reached out to you.

Re: Vcarve and Automatic Tool Measurement

My answer is not going to help much but I have a set of "true diameter" tools that I only use with VCarve. You set your specific diameters of tooling in the vcarve library so I don't worry about accidentally using a 0.485" old sharpened end mill when it should be a "true" 0.5".

Not much help but just ...

Re: Vcarve and Automatic Tool Measurement

I’m not sure if that is something that can be done in the post processor that you are using or not if not then you could just change the diameters in the tool database in vetric for the tool/ tools that you have remeasured

Vcarve and Automatic Tool Measurement

I am currently new to using Thermwood CNC's, model 43 and MTR30. The issue I am having is with Vcarve and the automatic tool measuring. The machines are set up to measure diameter and length while the tool runs. Because we send bits for sharpening, our sizes can vary and but with our cabinet vision ...

Strange Tool Height Problem

... was made based on the tool position.

My workaround has been using digital calipers and adjusting material thickness and depth of cut manually in vcarve but I'm getting to the point where this just doesn't cut it anymore as the projects I'm doing now are getting more complex with tighter tolerances ...

I would take Brads McIntosh's advice and perhaps get a program like Vectric VCarve Pro or similar and have the output code or output post programed for your machine.
Its designed to do that sort of thing, lettering and signs and ...

Re: RELIEF HELP ME

I did this in Vectric VCarve Pro in about 5 minutes.

Imported the raster image.
Traced the raster image.
Quickly fixed up the vectors. (Could use a little more "massaging".)
Defined a "Profile" tool path with "square corners".

I've a friend who has recently bought a Shark, which I understand comes with a desktop version of Vectric VCarve, so it looks like I will be diving in to the hours of tutorials over the holiday break. The DXF method is just not as full function as I had ...

Re: Cutting letters

I received VCarve pro on Thursday, tuned it in to my machine on Friday, Made $5000.00 dollars with it Saturday.
5 weeks later i upgraded to Aspire. For its 3 D modeling and cutting ability.
I've been using it for 3 years now. I lay the whole project out in aspire and use Ecabinets to cut the boxes ...

... layers, but we recently added a Pocketclamp layer. The Pocketclamp layer defines inner boundaries for the pocket layer. Using it will allow you to create letters such as "O", "P", etc.

While I agree using DXF layers is not as versatile as VCarve Pro, it can get the job done on some tasks.

Go buy your self a copy of VCarve Pro and don't waste any more time on this dxf layer method. about $700.00
I'm speaking from personal experience, I wasted thousands of hours and dollars on the Dxf layer method.
Not to mention, all the money, Thermwood wasted on the hundreds of calls I made to tech ...
