Strange Tool Height Problem

... was made based on the tool position. My workaround has been using digital calipers and adjusting material thickness and depth of cut manually in vcarve but I'm getting to the point where this just doesn't cut it anymore as the projects I'm doing now are getting more complex with tighter tolerances. ...

Re: RELIEF HELP ME

... prepared to put the time in to sort it out? Maybe.........maybe not? I would take Brads McIntosh's advice and perhaps get a program like Vectric VCarve Pro or similar and have the output code or output post programed for your machine. Its designed to do that sort of thing, lettering and signs ...

Re: RELIEF HELP ME

I did this in Vectric VCarve Pro in about 5 minutes. Imported the raster image. Traced the raster image. Quickly fixed up the vectors. (Could use a little more "massaging".) Defined a "Profile" tool path with "square ...

... it early next week for my client. I've a friend who has recently bought a Shark, which I understand comes with a desktop version of Vectric VCarve, so it looks like I will be diving in to the hours of tutorials over the holiday break. The DXF method is just not as full function as I had ...

I received VCarve pro on Thursday, tuned it in to my machine on Friday, Made $5000.00 dollars with it Saturday. 5 weeks later i upgraded to Aspire. For its 3 D modeling and cutting ability. I've been using it for 3 years now. I ...

... layer. Using it will allow you to create letters such as "O", "P", etc. While I agree using DXF layers is not as versatile as VCarve Pro, it can get the job done on some tasks. -Clint-

Re: Does anyone use Vcarve Pro?

David, One thing I have done is selected the paths that I wanted to post with a G41, calculate those then the paths I wanted G42 and calculate those since vectric lets you post tool paths separately, I post the the paths with the PP G41 or G42 then copy them into the same file, maybe this helps a li...

Re: Does anyone use Vcarve Pro?

Joshua,
Thanks for posting your PP.

The jobs I'm cutting would require G41 and G42 in the same job. Parts are nested inside parts. Not sure how that would be implemented.

FYI
Vectric's guide for modifying PPs says all commands should be in double quotes.

Re: Does anyone use Vcarve Pro?

Thanks Josh, I appreciate the feed back. I really like the software and its features especially for the price of it. Like I said I feel like the modifications to the post I have made are only temporary fixes. I have made a couple different PP to handle a few different situations I come across based ...
