Re: router bit question

Darren,
I cut a lot of 1" hickory with a 1/2" chipbreaker (I get it from Atlantic Carbide) and run it at about 300 to 350IPM at about 15,000 rpm and I cut .960 in one pass to leave onion skin because we flip it to do the other side.

Re: Would a job report generator benefit you?

Well Fred, As I understand it unless there are more people asking for this it will only be done on a case by case scenario and a fee. I could be mistaken. Maybe if more people understood the value behind this maybe, they would ask louder and more frequently . For those of us that have operators, wou...

Re: Tool stuck in spindle

Hey Paul, When this has happened to us, we just gave it the "Shock Treatment" meaning I would tap a smooth headed hammer, ball pean, on the right hand side of the "Z" plate as it was attempting a tool change. If you have line boring you may have to find a solid area on the"Z...

Larry, It is easier to see what the file will produce at the controller from a test file from here on the Forum than a prospective customer. I would like to just run through a simple test job first before I would approach a potential customer. If this is something that Thermwood wants to move forwar...

Well this will be the last bump I do.(648) If no one is willing to post a test of a few cabinets or is unable to post because they do not have the ability to do it with their version of KCDw, then the lack of interest may be the writing on the wall that it may not be worth the 4K+- extra investment ...

Just bumping this up because so far no one has posted a simple test file. Maybe I forgot 1 word so I added it below. Can you guess which one was missing? Larry or George or anyone else with KCDw, Can you PLEASE post a simple MDB file here, so we can run a quick test? thank you in advance,

Re:

Thom, If you have a machine older than a few years then the grippers do not have a positive stop on them. This is a simple add on from Thermwood and cost less than 5$ each. They bolt on under the gripper and stop the tool from popping through. At the same time I would change all the grippers and pu...

Ken and Larry,
Thanks for the clarification(s). I will follow up with them to see what the minimum package is that will allow viewing.

Larry or George or anyone else with KCDw,
Can you post a simple MDB file here, so we can run a quick test?

Thanks,(400)

Thanks Ken for the reply. I understand where you are going with this but I am going to present a request here for someone either from Thermwood or an Ecab member that has KCDw to post a simple job here so we can test this and let us know what the MINIMUM KCDw is needed to achieve these job level fil...

Michael, I understand what you are saying but it would be really hard to collect money for kitchen or get repeat business if the client sends us a bad file and we tell them too bad it was your file and your mistake. Sorry that they do not fit the way you thought they would. It would would hurt us mo...

Hey Ken, Sounds great that others are thinking at the \"job\" instead of just \"part\" level. I called KCDw and asked them which package would work with it and he suggested the 1 button first and then I explained that we did not need the G-code or cam side of it just the layers. ...
