Re: Spindle Shaft Replacement

I did one of those after 3 years. My fault, not Thermwood. Was a tight arse with my air dryer as it was undersized. Moisture got through my filters and stopped the auto tool sensing working which required a new spindle. Bought a new rotary compressor with the works and it has zero moisture. Was goin...

Re: Live broadcast

The superbowl does show the game in full so I guess that is more the idea. Maybe we need a remote controlled camera so we can pan, tilt and zoom ourselves. That would make things really interesting. Its hard to complain when I know it would have been difficult to setup. Its close to the mark but with...

Live broadcast

I hooked onto the live braodcast a IWF the other night as I am 12 hrs out of sync with Atlanta. Is it possible to rethink what you do with that live feed as it was pretty boring. I saw the new flow through machine's main cutting bed and that was it. No view of the feed in table and labels been fitte...

Re: Improve Dust Pickup CS43

So no one really wants to say the dust hood needs attention. The height could be a problem of how far the hood sits above the cutting surface? Well couldn't that be automatically be adjusted with a proximity switch each time it starts cutting a new sheet? I have asked other CNC shop owners about the...

Re: Improve Dust Pickup CS43

Not sure if you are going to IWF this year Kerry but I have noticed that there is a varied number of hood designs on different manufacturers machines that leave little dust that I viewed at our Aussie version of IWF. There are a few machines that have a dust extraction in the push off bar that redir...

Re: Automatic Updating

Ayberk, the controller might be too close to a window not windows it self. If its cold maybe it needs heating up. A electric blanket may help or a air conditioner on warm cycle. Seriously a Ram upgrade might help for the little cost it is. If your game, a new faster hard drive with a big cache might...

Re: Planits cabnetware postprocessor

Thanks Josh for your reply. Do you use CW yourself or have you seen the results? I was hoping to speak to someone on the method, the link is established.

Planits cabnetware postprocessor

I was wondering if anyone is using this Cabnetware postprocessor and could give me a overview on how it works? Does it print labels from the control? Are the labels colour coded like Ecabinets? If there is something in detail on Thermwoods site feel free to give me the link. Would be interested in u...

IWF coming

As much I'd love to go to IWF I won't be there. Is there going to be a live feed again this year? If there is could some one post some highlights onto youtube as we are 12 hours out of step with Atlanta. As much as I'd like to watch what was happening with the staff live at the stand I'd rather be t...

Re: Wireless connection from PC to router

Hi Michael, Our MTR is cabled networked which maybe yours does not have that option. With the wireless if you are having signal strength issues you can boost the signal with a directional antenna or you can have a repeater setup. Which increases the signal by double. You may need to drag in a comput...

Re: Signs from DXF

Gerry, we use artcam for signs and things we find a bit hard through Ecabinets. Are your sure the signwriters software does not export to the Thermwood as Artcam does. I think enroute does as well? Maybe you could get a dxf and send to the Thermwood guys and they could say if it possible? Regards Ne...

Sydney AWISA 11 to 14 July

Does any Ecabinet or Thermwood user want to meet up for Lunch one day of the Awisa event in Sydney. I will be there from Wed to Fri so maybe if others wish to list what days they will there we can find a common day. I think Flecknoe is paying for lunch so that will be good. ha ha only joking. We cou...

Re: Tooling Choices

Hi Chris, We are cutting 5/8 melamine particleboard all the time so our figures are fairly reliable, We use a Onsrud 60-126 mw at 18,000 rpm with feed at 85 feet a minute or in our settings 25to 27m a minute. I have been told by the tooling supplier a client of his runs the same bit at 31meters a mi...
