problem with double-pass outlines

at first i thought this problem was what forrest was talking about in his post http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4817, but the more i think about it, the mroe i think it is different. all of our parts that get the double outline pass (those below a certain size) seem to be left with a ...

problems with dovetail drawers

been having a couple of problems with our dovetail drawers. first, we get alot of the smaller parts moving on us. not sure if it has something to do with the manner in which the parts are outlined or not, but unless i surface the table between each sheet, i will loose quite a few pieces per sheet. s...

part editor depths

is there any way to adjust the depth of a feature created in part editor without erasing and re-creating it? i have some features which are too deep and need to be raised, but don't really want to redraw it all if i don't have to.

feature request for control nesting

one thing i would really love to see in a new version of the control nesting software would be the ability to filter jobs for nesting. i quite often will run all my finished parts for a couple of weeks all at once to keep the finishers ahead, and then go back and cut the rest of the white mel parts ...

this might actually be what is happening to alot of our parts. we are having issues where on any part that gets a skin pass, a small ledge is left on the part all the way around. it is most noticable on mdf parts. the ledge that gets left is only about 1/64-1/32, but it is quite visible depending on...

well don't i feel a little sheepish. i didn't know you could switch between vertical or horizontal nesting.

however, it would still be nice if the program could determine which was best for each sheet automatically.

thanks Jody and Dan

i think where the problem really lies is with where the program wants to look first to place each part. it appears to always want to put the next piece as close as possible to the left side. if you look at the picture above, the first 2 upper gables are placed this way above the base gables, followe...

i am sending the job to a router, i am using true shape. it is grained material, so the part orientation is fixed. i run into this problem all the time, and would love to be able to tell the program to relocate certain parts, or tell it to discard the current orientation and try another, or somethin...

nesting issue

is there a way to get the nests to come out better when you have base gables and upper gables to cut? currently, if i only have a couple of base gables, it will nest those first, then nest the upper gables arround them, but it doesn't nest well to fill the remaining space. here is a pic of what i me...

just want to put forth my request to have a drawer-box-part-editor included in the next version, or as soon as possible. i've been asked to create tray dividers for certain drawers, and currently have to make it as 2 seperate entities; the drawer box and a seperate \"cabinet\" that is all ...

i raised the back so that it is a butt joint with the bottom, but i would not want that to show at the front as that joint does not look very nice. when the dovetails are seen on the side, and the front is butted with the bottom, there is a vissible notch at the bottom of the joint, and you can see ...
