What I think his problem might be is that the file is to large to send by way of email. Most ISP's set limits on how large of a file they allow you to send. I have a subscription to a service called X-Drive which is on online storage/sharing area set up to be an Internet hard drive. You can upload f...

POOF!! Gone.

On several occasions I have had the eCab software just disappear off the screen in the middle of a job. What I trying to say is that I am working on a job and do some input and the software just blinks out and the program just ends itself, instantly. No warning, no error message, completely out of t...

Mitered Corner On Angle Upper

I have an Face Framed Angled Upper cabinet that I can't get the face frame edges to be mitered. I think I have the appropriate box checked in the construction settings ANGLED FRONT FACE FRAME SETTING box is checked. What else do I need to do. I tried removing the FF and installing it after the box w...

I was wondering...

If the Constraint Manager was to be use in this fashion. Lately I have been designing the top rails of my cabinets with designs to make them more appealing. Usually for open shelving and not cabinets with doors. But when I am designing them in the parts editor, in the beginning when I was new to eCa...

OK I messed around with it some and went back to my original formula with a modification to make it work. Instead of (h-7)/3 I made it into .333*(h-7) which shows up as .333(h-7) but still works the same as your h/3-2.33 which is much less intuitive. I think one of the problems I was having is that ...

Re:

Maybe this is one of the reasons I don't like the constraint manager  Leo and I both were trying our best to constrain the WIDTH of the part to the WIDTH of the cabinet as one would look at the part ON the cabinet. That area could be a little more intuitive when it comes to the help for formul...

Sure they were...the results were variable weren't they?

Sure if unpredictable and variable have the same meaning.

When you are using the terms W(idth) & H(eight) in the constraint manager are they variable terms with the data coming from the cabinet width and height input areas in the cabinet editor or are they a constant being derived when you make the formula in the constraint manager?

Re:

Here is what I'm talking about with the funky change. The constraint is w-1. Notice that the top arc disappeared and the constraint is at the bottom??? Wow, to think I might be able to teach a guru something. Dan, you need to trap the arcs within the constraint editor. You have to give them real nu...

Re:

Never mind that Leo, further testing shows it doesn't work just right  I'll see if I can come up with a set of constraints that will work for you. Been there, did that. I've spent quite a bit of time on this playing with formulas. The one that should work won't input properly. (w-7)/3 Thanks ...

Constraint Manager

I have a cabinet that I want to apply constraints to the top rail. What I have is a cabinet with three arches. I want the 3 arches to always be equal to each other. On the left and right there should be a flat area 1/2\" long before the arch starts, then in the middle (2 middles actually) I wan...
