M241 macro

Hello Michael, the 241 macro can be entered into a program by the plc if the machine is e-stopped during a tool change. It doesn't necessarily happen every time the estop is pressed during a tool change routine. The older SIO systems process information a little slower than the new digital Gen 2 cont...

Hi Mark, If you ahve tried a different toolholder with the sam result it is possible we may need to adjust the \"up\" drawbar switch a small amount. Sometimes as the drawbar spring tension inside the router weakens or the taper in the spindle gets worn a bit it can affect the sensors. This...

Hello Zach, It sounds like the toolholder taper is just sticking in the router. The first thing is to make sure the main air regulator is set to 100 psi. Then, you may need another person to help. Try to press the \"green\" tool release button and hold it in while someone taps the side of ...

Hi Eric, You can't use those c-marker offsets to adjust that. You use the c-marker offsets to get the tables even across the fronts. After that, you find new tool pick-up locations and put those numbers into the tool manager. F9, F3 and the password is \"toolman\". Give us a call in servic...

The \"error 63\" you are referring to, is normally an overcurrent error on the Siemens usually because of a mechanical issue. It could be a bad gas spring on the z axis, or a dry z axis trackway needing grease. You can contact one of us in the service dept. and we can get your problem fixe...

Hey guys, It still sounds like you may have an loose armature wire or a neutral wire in the control losing connection somewhere. It may have ran for a while after you replaced the frequency converter because the wiring was moved around. Now, the same problem has come back. A technician is coming the...

I see what you are saying. The tool was actually getting stuck in the spindle? The main thing is try to run 100 pSI at the main. The flow control can be opened up a little to \"quicken\" the drawbar firing down. The 58lb regulator is only for the air purge when the drawbar is fired. If you...

In that case, I would try to run the rebuild program that is in the Data/Part directory. If it still fails, then you may have a corrupted file. You should be able to restart the computer and try again.

Usually when this error comes up there is a \"ghost macro\" that is inserted in the program due to an e-stop during a tool change. The macro is M241. If this happens again, look in your program after your tool call or simply reload the program without saving it before you close it out. I h...

If the arm does not retract after the z axis goes up, it is probably a faulty solenoid, or a loose wiring connection on the solenoid. The air regulator that supplies the solenoid bank should be set to 80 psi. If the arm retracts too quickly, you may need to adjust the flow controls on the typewriter...

Hey guys, The safest way to get out of the arm stcking situation is this. First, press the e-stop in. Then, pull it back out. Next, press \"nc reset\" one time only. This should clear the e-stop and enable the machine. The next thing you do is use the hand held, or the control keyboard to ...
