Should we assume that Unit Cost and Job Cost will be activated in some future build? It seems as though that info could be useful on the batch screen.

Reading your article brought back a saying an old timer told me when I was just starting out in business.

\"You can't do today's work with yesterday's tools and be in business tomorrow.\"

True then and now.

Thanks Michael. Yes, you have the dimensions correct. I moved the drawer rail up so that the opening is 5.0625 as you suggested and re-added the drawer heads. Indeed it work correctly. I'm just not understanding why. As long as it works. Thanks again.

Problem adding drawer head

I'm helping a friend build his seed cabinets and came across an issue adding drawer heads. This is a three drawer stack. The two bottom heads are 12.0625\" high. The bottom head is flush to the cabinet bottom. There is a .125\" gap between drawer heads. The top head should be 6\" high...

With all the virus threats out there, its hard to know which might be real. It's always better to err on the side of caution.

According to the McAfee website, this is a hoax. The reference to snopes.com confirming the virus is false.

I've got the same problem. Any of my seed cabinets, created about two versions ago but regenerated with the current version. Create room with one wall. Add the base cabinet and select it. Right click, select Adjust Cabinet Features, Change, Doors. Select Conestoga Standard, CRP-10. Click OK. Cabinet...

OK. I didn't mean to imply that I drink Jamaican coffee every day. It's just for holidays and special occasions. I am, after all, living on a cabinetmakers pay.

Kerry, The Blue Mountain is a great coffee. My daughter got married in Jamaica about 7 years ago. We drank it at the resort and just loved it. Now, when ever I hear that someone is going to Jamaica, I give them money to bring back several pounds and put it in the freezer. I think it's maybe $15.00/p...

Jeff, What brand and series of hinges are you using? I use Grass 3803 hinges. With a 19mm (3/4\") gable, these hinges require a 2.1mm reveal. That makes a 4.2mm gap when butting two cabinets together, eliminating your problem. Even though they are called full overlay hinges, I think most will r...

I'm with you Kerry. Your list of expectations is right on the mark. So far, I haven't been buying through the Member Store because I have a vendor close by and they meet most of your requirements. I do, however, expect to be buying through the Member Store at some point. As you said, design the cabi...

Mike, The Pietenpol is considered experimental because it is owner built. It seats two, althought not exactly comfortably. Dan, The plans are cheap. My problem has been the metal work, I'm a woodworker. I thought this project would be a piece of cake. It's the metal work thats got me. Kerry, I'm not...

My hobby is not as admirable as Kerry's of Mike's. It has taken up a lot of my spare time though. It's an aircraft design from the late 1920s called a Pietenpol Air Camper. It's built from plans, not a kit. What you don't see here is a pile of parts and a rebuilt aircraft engine waiting to go on the...

I don't use inventory but I do use QuickBooks Pro 2007. You can import an Excel worksheet and you can do data mapping. From my modest poking around though, I think it would be difficult to use the eCabs cutlist exported to Excel to control inventory. The cutlist shows the quantity used while QuickBo...
