Kyle,

Since you are planning on having your library machined, I hope you are working closely with a cnc shop before going to all the trouble. There are alot of things to consider in terms of machining that you possibly won't think of in the design phase. A cnc shop has first hand knowledge of the ...

Mike,

From my experience and others I have found that changing thickness at twd. stage in certain senarios causes problems. Hence I've never considered it reliable. One area is partitions will be off centered. The other place is dado depth will sometimes be machined as if the material is still ...

There is no way to do a true elipse in ecabs. you may be able to create the geometry in cad and export to ecabs only I'm not sure it will machine. I'll take a try later.

Do not change thickness on existing materials. You will have many problems with doing this. Add a new material with average thickness then change sheet stock at room or batch level. Some members have found it prudent to create complete libraries in certain materials such as 3/4\" melamine or 3/4 ...

David,

I had this happening on some oddball cabs and found that going back to the main editor before adding the doors has helped the problem.

Hope this helps,

Ray,

This was a bug in 5.1.2 and was supposed to be fixed in some situations. However it was only documented a time or two. Scott Vaal will need to respond to this.

Mark T,

I'm having an issue similar to yours. This occured about 3 months ago as well after an update. I'm running 5.27 now. Whats really interesting is that I ran 3 sets of drawers with no problems. Then nested a set this morning out of different material and got the issue of cut thru to deep ...

Walker,

I believe you have misunderstood the comment. Micheal is refering to the drawer front. Most every shop keeps there top drawer the same hieght from desk to raise bar cabs. If the doors and drawers recognized stretchers like they do faceframes this wouldn't be an issue. We also need to be ...

Nick,

I had the same problem with loading on a new computer this morning. It hung up when asking for updates so I went onto this site and ran the update 5.1.2. The program opened no problem then.

Mike,

I've never been able to change reveals on the doors after adding them and get consistant results. Something is always skewd. You will have to change the defaults and then add the doors.

I'm having similiar issues with vista on my laptop. I did get it removed but it stuck for an hour before resuming. I've tried to reload in the recomended fashion and am still having problems. At this point I'm going to put XP on the machine.

I have to respond to this also. We've run our machine average 4 to 5 hours a day for over 4 years and still use the same collets. I'm not quite sure I understand what is going to happen other than maybe I lose a tool. I can understand if you are getting chatter or some other poor quality cut but ...
