Re: CRASH

This happens to me from time to time and I have always had to have a client open the file and save it then send it back. Really don't know what is going on.

Re: Thermwood C53 router - Jerky motion

Try adding a G090thruwhatever. I would suggest starting at G0905 and if that's too fast then go lower like G0902. It may be that someone set the default to high.

Re: Construction joints not applying

Follow up on this. I am having this issue with a bunch of cabinets but did figure out if I go to pocket screw tab and then select apply to cabinet it will apply the slots even if there is no hardware selected. Go figure.

Re: weight

Nick, our C40 5x12 weights in at almost 13,000 lbs with the controller mounted atop. I think you may be in the 10k range. Don't you have the original ship weight?

Travis, can you make the top from a display cube and place manually?

Re: Construction joints not applying

Follow up, I ended up having to delete the offending cabinets and starting over. Not a big deal only took about 20 minutes but still would like to know what Scott finds out. It could be a bug or could just be one of those things with big assemblies and lots of part edits where it gets lost or hung u...

Re: Part editor question

Francis, try taking it into contour mode, right click and select create edges. If you know the distances from certain points you can use the lines to offset other lines into the specific places you need geometry.

Construction joints not applying

Haven't had this problem before but might have something to do with the large size of the assembly. All of the cabinets are supposed to have the dado with pocket screws but as you can see some do not. I have tried going to butt joint and then changing back with no results. I can probably turn face f...

Please Remove Conestoga name from door selections

Its been a while since we could even buy their doors thru Thermwood so can you please remove the name or allow us to override it somehow. Even if I save the doors off to my own folder the cutlist and export file still shows a long name with Conestoga at the front. Its just unnecessary and would be n...

Face Frame pricing structure

The current method of pricing faceframes in ecabs is lacking in one fundamental way. The clearest example I can think of is to compare 2 frames. One that is 4" rails and stiles with only 4 parts, and the other that has 1" rails and stiles but also has 2 mid rails and 2 mid stiles. The soft...

Re: KD/RTA SETUP

I assume you are working in metric so just for starters make sure you have the diameters set up correctly in ecabs and control nest. In control nest/tool setup make sure you have selected the "drill" check box. In control nest/parameters make sure you have the box checked in the bottom lef...

Re: Lock Dado w/ Pocket Screw. Spot hole w/ fixed shelf?

Steve, in preferences change the rendering in CE and see if that helps keep the holes visible. It may slow your computer a bit so you could adjust accordingly. Also just to verify if they really are gone take the cabinet into nesting.

Re: What the $@#*( is going on???

Donald, You are probably experiencing an issue where you changed materials from within Batch or Custom Layout. Those changes only effect the cabinet while in CL but not the original defaults. The defaults can only be overridden while in CE. To answer your question about changing FF material from the...

Pocket screw adjustment

So I've seen a few others asking about adjusting the slot distance from the edge of the part. While that normally isn't an issue with 3/4" material, I found it to be a problem when screwing into 1/2" material. The screw poked thru the back. Maybe I can find a shorter screw but maybe also t...

Re: Uninvited addition to my cabinet

Just a little note about your problem. I've had things like that happen a few times in the past for no reason other than a glitch in the system. Most of the time I remembered rebooting and starting over. That gave me piece of mind that it probably wouldn't cause problems later. I'm thinking it was p...
