Re: Two level Island

I was asked to present a propossal of an Island with the countertop in two levels, the drawer side lower than the oposite side, I cut both sides and the top of the island cabinet in part editor but I can not resize the opening for the face frame? I understand that are different ways to do the same....

Re: How to create fluted coloumns / arched panels?

So I've been using ecabinets for quite a few years now, but have never really gotten into some aspects of the program. Just worked within the constraints of what I know well, and made it work as best as I could. I'm currently working on a project that I really can't present as I would like, with wh...

Re: Crown molding for angled front cabinet

Put it on your corner cabinet first in the Cabinet Editor.

Re: Door Materials

Well now, this is exactly what I was looking for. I don't even have to save the door as a new door, I can just change the materials on a generic door. Perfect. Thanks guys :D If you want to show a few different door (or material) colours on a job you can open your job and change colours and do a Sa...

Re: Slatwall On Back Of Cabinet

Heath -- You download it to your IMPORT file and then open in DISPLAY PART EDITOR and then add colour or texture and save as a SAMPLE hsf.

Osborne (http://www.osbornewood.com) has .stl files that I downloaded and was able to work with.

That's great Wayne -- You will learn how to use the program a lot better by doing these things. Are you from Ontario?? Are you on CWW forum??

Can I take a .dwg file and convert it to an .hsf file?

Wayne -- There are lot's of Corbels in the 3D images section -- download/file.php?id=7285 -- Also Adams has a lot too that you can just import. Which one are you using??

Re: Adding Corbels

A corbel is added the same way as a Display Object. Once selected then Assoc to a wall and then go to wall view and place it where you want it.

Re: can I USE .dwg files in ecabs?

If you have a nice clear screen while in LDE then just do a Print Screen and paste to Irfanview and print it any size or do corrections before printing. You can also change it to B & W or grayscale. FWIW .

Re: can't install eCabs, IE demanded?

Yes you have to have IE installed as Ecabs needs it. I found out the hard way and had to re install it when I first started. You don't have to use IE as your browser but you must have it installed. IE is a lot better now and I use Google Chrome so IE is just in the background of Ecabs.

Your cabinet works fine for me.

Try opening the cabinet in the cab editor then right click and choose Remove Part Editor Cuts/From Entire Cabinet and let the cabinet re-generate and see if you can get it to work in the part editor.

Thanks Kerry - I must have lingering PE cuts.

That's it George -- I guess I will have to regenerate it like Kerry advises to get it right.
Thanks George.

Re: Corner Cab Bug

At the back Kerry-- I don't want any miter there but it keeps it even when I change it. I want a square of 7.5" cut from the corner (to go around a post) not a miter.

Corner Cab Bug

Here is a cabinet that I changed the corner settings on and it shows the change but when I take the top to PE it still shows a mitered corner and I cannot do what I wanted to do -- 7.5" x 7.5" corner cutout.

Re: Figureing Countertops

I am trying to figure out the tops for the peninsula (curved section). How do you figure the laminate sheet for this? I am wanting to see if I can use one sheet turned diagonal so as to avoid a seam. Is there a mathematical equation that gives the distance for this? The top will have a 12" ove...
