Re: Flip Ops in SB Link
Thanks Ralph. What was throwing me off is that just the face side of the piece displays, regardless of which side is being machined. That seems odd to me and will take some getting used to. You've had success using the flip ops first for whole sheets? I tried to do that when the Link first came out,...

Re: Flip Ops in SB Link
Trying some things with this on my computer at home (not hooked to machine) and not having much luck. On the attached cabinet I select just the partition. If I nest it with 'Cut Flip Ops First' either selected, or not selected it lays out the part the same either way (all the operations are in the s...

Re: Flip Ops in SB Link
Ralph,
In thinking further, I'm realizing that likely is the answer. I'll give it a try next time I'm in the shop.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Flip Ops in SB Link
Thanks Ralph. I’ve looked through the Link again, and what I still can’t figure out is how to select the flip operations for a single part. I’m thinking there must be a way, as if ‘flip ops first weren’t selected you’d need to be able to do what I’m
looking to do.

Re: Nesting Error
Sorry, realized yesterday that it was a bad RTA pattern on the back stretcher that was causing the issue (Posted here yesterday but the message didn’t seem to take...)
Thanks to all for the input.

Flip Ops in SB Link
I should know this already, but how do I pull up the flip ops for a single part in SB Link. The part is cut, with the operations done to the face of it, looking to set it back on the machine and have the drilling etc be done for the back side? I've had a work around for this up until now, be need to...

Re: Nesting Error
Hi, I put in that small dimension (.25mm) to keep the two pockets (different depths) separate. I’ve had issues in the past with two pockets touching, the seem to melt together, and throw the constraints off. The .25 is small enough that it gets cut away regardless. I hadn’t realized you were running...

Nesting Error
When I try to nest the attached cabinet using SB Link, I get the error messages:
'Couldn't find tool to work for pocket operation 3 on side 1 1 '
'Couldn't find tool to work for pocket operation 24 on side 4 1 '
Not sure how to attach the TWD file...

Re: Slow Cabinet
I've removed everything from my computer that I can, updated drivers etc. Cabinet is still just as slow as it was.
FWIW, I did notice that removing the 3 adjustable shelves (which place the shelf holes top to bottom) cuts the processing time in half), but all the units will have these shelves...

Re: Slow Cabinet
Hi Scott, I do that somewhat periodically, but will try it in the morning and see if it helps any. Thank you There’s definitely something bogging down the computer, as it probably takes 10mins to restart after being turned off. I realize that’s probably sounds absurd to most, I’ll admit to not being...

Re: Slow Cabinet
The computer does seem clunky with just about everything I build, though it’s been bearable until this. This cabinet is more complex than what I normally do, but it will be a typical cabinet going forward. It’s got quite a few part editor cuts to accommodate leg levelers, and many more parts than no...
