Resizing Display Boards

I can't find anything in the Help manual about using the Display Board function. So here goes. I've put some display boards in a cabinet. I have associated those boards with my cabinet. When I resize the cabinet, is there a way I can also resize the display boards, or do I need to delete them all an...

Adding a drawer issue ?

I've got a little bit non standard cabinet I'm trying to add drawer boxes to. Cabinet is attached. The cabinet sides and back have a -3" top inset. Basically after I add drawers - 7.75" lower drawer then an upper drawer to fit the remaining space - I go back to Main and the drawer boxes se...

Re: Shopbot Link looses zero to table after bit change

Ron, Make sure all your vacuum motors are properly grounded to the common ground point. I did something that most people wouldn't bother doing, I wrapped bare ground wire around my vacuum piping to make sure I could bleed off any static buildup. I know it sounds excessive but I learned, the hard way...

Re: Nest Diagram Inefficiency

Jim, you are correct in the nesting issues. I use Shopbot Link and have on many occasions saw nesting that could have been done to save sheets of plywood. I've had parts stuck into the middle of a sheet for no reason that I can see. If course I'm not privy to the internal workings of the nesting alg...

Re: Shopbot Link looses zero to table after bit change

There is something wrong between Shopbot Control and your CNC. I've been using SBLink for 9 years and have never had it do what you are explaining and I cut close to a thousand sheets of plywood a year. Not sure what is happening but sounds like the machine might be losing comms with the controller ...

Changing dado depth on parts

Is there a way to set the depth of a dado on one end of, say a deck, different from the depth of the dado on the other end of the deck? For instance, let's say I would like a .375" dado on the right end, but a .5" dado on the left end. I haven't seen anything anywhere for this but thought ...

Re: Ok, stupid question....

Thank you!! I was not aware that that had to be done. So I'm guessing that all the work I did is now part of the great bit-bucket in the sky??

Ok, stupid question....

I just spent over an hour carefully adding and positioning display boards to a cabinet. I saved the cabinet then saved the changes to the batch that the cabinet resides in. When I bring the cabinet into cabinet editor from the batch, all that work is gone :fire: All that work is gone and I've wasted...

When I bring the cabinet into cabinet editor from the batch, all that work is gone :wall: :fire: What do I have to do to keep it intact with the cabinet? Than...

Re: Nesting discrepancy

But I think if you export all your settings and stuff from the software running on the control computer and import it into the software running on your design computer, all the tool sizes, clearances, etc. should come across. Unless I'm mistaken about what gets exported and imported.

Re: Nesting discrepancy

I've had this issue as well. It really sucks when you've got 40+ drawer box parts on a $90 sheet of 5/8" Appleply and the printout sheets differ from the labels. Even when I synchronize the settings from one computer to another by using export and import from sblink, I get differing results. It...

Re: Cutlist Save/open button

I am not sure if this will work for those who can not turn off windows10 auto updates. I have noticed that when I generate the eCabinets cut list it sends it to the temp folder at C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\temp without having to click on the export button. You could open ...

Re: Cutlist Save/open button

I worked for Microsoft for 7 years. When we got reports of applications not working after an update/upgrade, 99 times out of 100 it was because the application developers had bypassed the application programming interface (API) provided by Microsoft and started making calls to functions that resided...

Re: Cutlist Save/open button

Been searching my computer to the two KB's for Windows 7. Can't find them in Control Panel or in the registration database. Where do you find them to uninstall them?

Thank you.
