Re: 300+ Stretcher parts I can't label - Shopbot Link

For processing 8 sheets of 3/4” plywood for my stretchers, I think I discovered something. Not sure if it’s a bug in Windows or a bug in SBLink. The stretcher parts were from 3 different jobs (TWD files). When I selected them, I used the Windows feature to click on the first file, hold the shift key...

Re: 300+ Stretcher parts I can't label - Shopbot Link

The sheets I printed out don't represent what is being cut on the plywood. The labels don't even match the sheets. SBLink nested the stretcher parts differently then when I printed the labels. I've got 25 more sheets of plywood for this job (drawer box bottoms, cabinet backs, etc.) and another 250+ ...

Re: 300+ Stretcher parts I can't label - Shopbot Link

An additional piece of information on this puzzle:

The first sheet, of 8, nested perfectly and the labels were right. The 7 subsequent sheets are all nested differently then what the sheets said they should be.

300+ Stretcher parts I can't label - Shopbot Link

There seems to be inconsistencies in the way ShopBot Link does nesting. I brought cabinets into SBLink on last Friday so I could create my part labels and my layout sheets. I did a Y nesting. All good. Printed my labels (300+) and my part layouts sheets (8 sheets). I shut my SBLink computer down for...

Re: Stretcher bug

I have noted things in stretcher editor but haven't been able to reproduce them on a reliable basis. Go into stretcher editor Edit/adjust a stretcher Go back to CE I've found on some occasions that the stretchers are now butt ends instead of M&T ends. This has happened to me on several occasions...

Re: Cabinet changes/deleted after CNC

I have had problems with stretcher configurations changes. I make all my stretchers to be M&T at each end. I've had eCabs randomly change to butt joints without my knowledge. Got to cut on the CNC and tenons are missing. End up pocket screwing them in place.

Very frustrating!!

Re: Combing two custom room layouts into one CNC file

Is there a way to create a cutlist from 3 separate jobs? I've got the CNC file created, I now need to create the cutlist for all my solid wood parts (faceframe rails and stiles, drawer faces, etc.)

Combing two custom room layouts into one CNC file

I've got two custom layouts for two different jobs. They use similar materials so I wanted to nest them all at once to make better use of material.

How do I combine two custom layouts into one CNC file?

Thanks!

Room designer wall height

I have been working in the room designer and I think I might have found something that is not working as expected or is working as expected. Not sure. Hoping someone can clarify for me. When I select a wall in room designer, there is a field in the "Add Wall Parameters" that displays the h...

Another inexplicable problem

I am getting the attached error message dialog when I try to go from drawer editor to main. As you can see in the 2nd picture, there are NO locks in the cabinet. There used to be locks but I deleted them. This problem sprung up when I try to have a vertical lock in the center top opening. I locked t...

Re: Drawer Fronts and Drawer Boxes

In addition to what Jesse said, I've found that sometimes you just have to abandon (delete) the cabinet and start over. Somehow parameters get so corrupted, there is nothing you can do to fix it. It takes less time to delete it and recreate it then it does to try and track down what is wrong and fix...

Re: SBLink and dovetail drawers

Thanks for the response Terry.

Did Thermwood help you thru the problem with cutting just stopping? Or did you just shelve the idea?

SBLink and dovetail drawers

Have any of the SBLink (Shopbot) users tried using the dovetail drawer boxes? If so, did it work? Was it a nightmare to get working properly? Was it tough dialing in the parameters? Does it require flip operations? What was the cost for bits, etc. to get it working? I use 5/8" Appleply for all ...

Re: Wow!!!

It's a good thing that part of my design process is to save each cabinet individually in a customer directory as well as put it in the room layout. That way I'm able to put cabinets "back" when they've been AI'd (take your pick on the meaning of AI) out of the room.
