Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

Gary, I'm diving in after you! :D :D If it's a pay or loose eCabs - I will pay. "Pay for features" might be a way for Thermwood to help offset some of their development costs. For example - ShopBot-Link is a pay for feature of eCabinets. By itself SBLink, is not much value. However, combin...

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

You're right Gary, this was turning in to a laundry wish list. Sorry. Getting back to your original post, yes it would be great to be able to design our own doors without having to use the library. It would also be nice if we could get design data from door suppliers (I am moving in that direction f...

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

Another useful application of this might be the ability to apply these settings across a job/room/batch of cabinets. Say you want to change the way upper cabinet stretchers, used as reinforcement for hanging a cabinet on the wall, are offset up/down from the bottom/top of all the cabinets, you could...

Re: Is it possible to have both v5.2 and v6 on the same computer

It's working fine on my computer with Windows XP Pro with 4GB memory and dual 23" monitors. If you call Thermwood they should be able to help you with this.

Re: Hinge & drawer slide hole patterns Gone?

Hi Kerry,

I remembered I had a V5 install on my laptop. I copied all the images off there and will be incorporating them into V6. At least I hope it will work. :?

Re: Hinge & drawer slide hole patterns Gone?

Referring to Jim's post - where did all the images go that were loaded in V5 in the Program Files\Thermwood\Hardware folder for hinges and other hardware? The only hardware images I have under V6 in the \Shared Documents folder are for: KD Hardware Lazy Susans Molding Pulls Wood Components Everythin...

Re: Material Thickness

Roger,

I have a thread going on this and posted a new reply for Rick at Thermwood to take a look at this. I verified this is happening after I saw you mention it on the ShopBot forum. Good catch!

Re: Open job - add new material, repeat

Rick, I think between Roger Kirkpatrick and I we have discovered something. When creating a TWD and you change the material thickness somehow the material database is getting updated with the new material thickness. So next time you load the job/cabinet it prompts you for a new material because the ...

Re: Open job - add new material, repeat

Rick, For this job I open and save to this path. D:\My Documents\Diamond Lake Custom Woodworks\Shop accessories drawings When I'm doing projects for customers I don't save them into Thermwood folders. I create folders in my company folder under \My Documents and save there. This keeps the jobs in a ...

Re: Open job - add new material, repeat

Rick,

I open the job from the same folder every time. I save it to the exact same folder every time. It is not one of the eCabs folders. It is my own customer folder on my computer.

Re: Open job - add new material, repeat

Josh,

Yes, I did upgrade the cabinet to a V6 cabinet. Yes, I did save the project prior to closing eCabs and restarting it and reopening the job.

Open job - add new material, repeat

I 'm finding in V6 that each time I open a job consisting of 2 cabinets it prompts me to add new material. It is the same material each time - 1/2 Maple - prefinished. So I open the job it prompts me for the new material - I call it 1/2 Maple - prefinished da. Save job, close eCabs, start eCabs, ope...

Re: Version 6 Images

It doesn't seem to be picking up some of the files. I'm using XP Pro. In the Item window When I go to hardware\Amerock no images are displayed in V6 but in File Manager there are 888 files listed When I go to hardware\Knape Vogt no images are displayed in V6 but in File Manager there are 2 files lis...

Re: Version 6 Images

As I now look through all my other folders under \eCabinet Systemsall it appears that the subfolders are all intact but all the files are now gone, except the ones I've created since I started using eCabinets. I'm not sure the copy from V5 to V6 worked correctly. I think I will do what someone else ...
