Open job - add new material, repeat

I 'm finding in V6 that each time I open a job consisting of 2 cabinets it prompts me to add new material. It is the same material each time - 1/2 Maple - prefinished. So I open the job it prompts me for the new material - I call it 1/2 Maple - prefinished da. Save job, close eCabs, start eCabs, ope...

Re: Version 6 Images

It doesn't seem to be picking up some of the files. I'm using XP Pro. In the Item window When I go to hardware\Amerock no images are displayed in V6 but in File Manager there are 888 files listed When I go to hardware\Knape Vogt no images are displayed in V6 but in File Manager there are 2 files lis...

Re: Version 6 Images

As I now look through all my other folders under \eCabinet Systemsall it appears that the subfolders are all intact but all the files are now gone, except the ones I've created since I started using eCabinets. I'm not sure the copy from V5 to V6 worked correctly. I think I will do what someone else ...

Re: Version 6 Images

I seem to have the same problem. When I installed V6 I told it to copy all V5 data files. When I look in the Thermwood\eCabinets Systems\Materials folder, it has all the subfolders but they are all empty. Where did the files go?

New fireplace mantel

Just completed this fireplace mantel. Red oak construction. All fluting was done on ShopBot. Deer scene carving is 40" long and 5.5" high. Coloring in the carving was done using a gel stain glazing process (can find it on Vectric forum (http://www.vectric.com/forum/index.php). Finish is ho...

Re: My first kitchen with eCabinets

Stephen,

Thank you for the compliments.

There are a total of 3 carvings in the kitchen and they were all done on a Shopbot PRSAlpha 96x60 with 2.2hp spindle.

Re: Printer Recommendations

Have you looked at the Canon multifunction printers? I've got an MX850 that does everything well and the cartidges are a lot less expensive then HP from what I've found.

I get my cartidges from: http://private.abacus24-7.com/

Re: base 45 degree angle cabinet

Rob,

I did a cabinet similar to what you are describing. I used my CAD program to design it then used my 3D carving software to layout the parts on a 4x8 sheet of material and cut them that way. It seemed to work well.

Greg - Thank you for the compliment. I'm in the process of redoing the website to make it easier to navigate and a little less busy. Stay tuned.

My first kitchen with eCabinets

I finished my first kitchen using eCabinets, Shopbot Link and my ShopBot CNC. All cabinet work done in the past was done using the tables saw and router. My first go around with CNC was a real experience and had quite the learning curve. I constructed everything - cabinets - drawer boxes - drawer fr...

Re: transfering "My materials"

I think if you do a backup while running eCabinets to your memory stick it will save everything there. Then on your other computer, do a restore from the memory stick.

Re: Problem placing two slide out trays in cabinet

Thanks John. I guess trying to use the drawer to drawer gap settings wasn't the way to go. Your method worked great!
